Jellyfish Restaurant

Whew...I just literally finished reading every single page of this thread and just wanted to say hi as one of the few grooms around here. We've happily confirmed our wedding date for Dec 20, 2014 and we couldn't be more excited to work with Mayte. I've been in contact with Isaac to confirm the date, but have not been in contact with Mayte. I fully don't expect to have too much contact with her since we're quite a ways away. Does anyone have recommendations on what I should have decided before I first start planning with her? Also, would someone mind informing me the proper email to contact Mayte? I wasn't sure if jellyfishenterprises@@gmail.com was correct of if she has a different address she uses.

AR DreamWedding, would you also kindly email me your template to chibichn@@gmail.com? Thank you!

Hi Everyone,

Quick question…. does anyone know if you can choose the time you would like to begin the wedding? Or does Mayte have a designated time that the wedding starts?

Hi there - I believe you can choose anytime you want however when we met with Mayte, she did recommend 5pm (am getting married in May) as the sun won't be at it's peak and the wedding will flow nicely into cocktail hour and dinner.

Hey Kelz,

I have sent you the wedding outline so hopefully it will help you to organize your plans. In addition, YES Mayte does do every single detail to the last drop (this includes hand making things) when it comes to the décor. I can personally attest to this as I have been to her home and know just how much she puts into each detail of every brides dream wedding.

Happy Planning!

Hey Scott (PuntaCana2014a),

I was unable to send you the outline as your email address was not written clearly.... wondering if you can re-send it to me.

Warmest Wishes!

When my fiance and I first got engaged, I was a bit overwhelmed by the whole wedding planning thing, so he initiated our wedding research. He also read through most of this forum and mentioned to me one day, "Babe, its just me and the brides out there!" It's one of my favorite quotes from this entire wedding planning process. I'm pretty sure you are not the only groom though... just one of the first to post as there are a ton of lurkers.

The only e-mail we have for Mayte is the jellyfishenterprise one. If you decide to visit Jellyfish before your wedding and let her know in an e-mail, she will respond and set up a time to meet you. Other than that, she will likely only write you if you wedding is on the horizon. AR- dream wedding's outline is a great starting point for your preparation with mayte. I would say it has even more details than you need for a first conversation. As long as you have a vision, she'll be able to take that, add to it, and make it come alive for the actual wedding day.

Congrats and welcome!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
