That's so hard when your dog is old, because they handle change even worsesad.gif Definitely talk to your vet. Maybe they could recommend a female who could stay at your house while you're gone? One of my friends used to stay at my parents' house and watch their dog when they traveled because their dog isn't used to being alone. I did the same for an old boss, she paid me like $30 a day.
My fiance has wanted a doberman forever! At first I was like, "NO! They're mean and I don't like their pointy ears!" He's the one the told me they are actually very sweet and protective of their family, they don't shed much and are very intelligent. After I started google-ing them, they are SO cute (only when their ears aren't chopped off, in my opinion!) I'm actually excited to get one now! Have you had yours since he was a puppy?

Michelle - I was just thinking the same thing the other day hahaha. It's actually kinda nice that we're all so far out that we can't still think of things other than the wedding. I have a feeling that by the time this year ends, we're going to be 24/7 wedding stressing!

Raychel - We got him at 3 months old from a doberman rescue. I have an aunt that has had rescued dobermans for forever, so I've always been in love with the breed. I've met many, many dobes, some rescued from the most horrendous conditions, and yet I've never met a mean one. I knew I wanted a rescued dobe, and my fiance really wanted a puppy (we got Murphy as a 2 year old from the shelter), so we waited until a litter came in. It's funny because my fiance didn't really want a dobie at first, and now he loves Conan so much, he's already talking about the next doberman we're going to get! He's totally in love with the breed now.

Riri - I know what you mean, my friend's keep telling me I need to stress less about their money haha. It was a big stressor for me in choosing the resort, and finally my MOH told me to stop worrying about the room rates and just choose our favorite resort.

Im also a major planner. I mean I have my notebook of everything I need to do and when to do it...I guess with a typical wedding you're meeting with photographers, florists, cake people, limo people...and we don't have to do all of that...maybe thats why I feel like people are always so busy and I'm not...

But when people ask me now I just say "It's fine...I don't really have much to do right now" Usually they just say Ohhh it kind of shuts them up...they don't have anything else to ask after that! lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
