We are in the same situation - in a new city w/o friends or family so the dress is being stored in a closet in a spare room. FI knows to ask if it's okay to go in there w/o me and doesn't go anywhere near the closet. Although, that's all my doing; he does not mind seeing the dress before the big day.

Its not really a heck no but he hasnt and wont see it until the day. Originally i would've liked him to go with me to pick out the dress but my FMIL flipped out on us as to how it should be concealed etc bla bla bla... I just let it go and gave her what she wanted lol otherwise he would've been there :)

I really wanted my FI input on my dress. He is always very honest about what things he thinks look good on me. I even tried to convince him to come shopping with me, but he really wanted it to be a total surprise for the big day, so I guess I am on my own for determining what looks good.

Mine acted like he had no interest at first. He never wanted to see photos I liked or whatnot. But lately, he's been like, so, what does it look like? I feel like he doesn't trust my judgment! I always tell him that the dress rocks and he must wait to see it. Either way, once it's in and altered, it'll stay at my parents's house. They're taking it to Jamaica with them! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
