Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Yeah they were!  I didn't know that until I called my parents to tell them the date changed.  And whats even weirder is my FI and I were engaged December 14 and thats the very same day my grandparents were engaged and we didn't know that either!

That is amazing, definitely nothing to worry about with the date...it was meant to be!! :)

I also have been thiking about renting the gazebo witha DJ for 500 but I also thought about buying my own ipod and docking station and getting someone to monitor it for us. I was wandering if the gazebo rental is two hours like the dj or all night? Canyou let me know what quote she gives you for alcohol when you get it I would really appreciate it.

Anyone else renting the gazebo with their own music and liquor?

I'm so confused now.  I understood that since they have to set up the speaker system for the ceremony they simply leave it for the evening.

I asked her about our own liquor and she said we could get our own from them.  Then I asked her again just in case and she said no.  So I sent her another email back and she said ok and to give her a list of what we wanted so that she could find out the prices for me as they had to be ordered from elsewhere????

I leave March 31 and take the red eye to Toronto, so we get to the resort on Apr 1 -  and get married on the 5th!!  So excited!!  Haven't booked a restaurant yet - I kinda want to see them and see how they're laid out before I decide...  assuming we get to decide, that is!

So, we're gonna be there at the same time!

No - it's the actual wedding package prices at the resort that are going down for 2012 weddings - instead of $1100 for the sunshine package, it will be $400 in 2012, for example...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
