No training for my FI either. However I'm not even sure he lifts up the seat to wee.

Gina, I have a suggestion. Keep some cheerios on the toilet tank. Tell him to drop one in and aim for it while peeing with the seat down.

Worked like a charm when my nephews were being potty trained. No reason it can't work on a grown man. lol.

this thread made me laugh. my FI puts it down and the lid as well and yells at me if I forget! seriously. his reasoning is our 2 giants dogs and his fear of them using it as a water bowl. I have never seen them do this, the only come in the bathroom while we shower to guard us lol. but when my friends come over he has the nerve to yell at them too. if only he were this meticulous about other things in the house.

There are some very lucky ladies here, I don't think my FI even knows how to put down a toilet seat! It irritated the hell out of me when we first moved in, but I guess I have just learned to live with it. I have yet to fall in (finger crossed).

Make a sign and put it at a level that he sees when flushing! It can say, "If you don't put the seat down, your wife will have a frown" Or insert your current marital status, the nickname he has for you, etc. Or something to that extent.

I had this issue, I made signs and haven't had a problem since!! He says it works better than me nagging him...and it did!

Maybe if you pose it to him that way, he might also want to put it down?
Us too. Ginalyn, tell your dh that particles of whatever is in the toilet fly out at about a 6 foot radius if you leave the lid up when you flush. This includes onto your toothbrushes if they are out! You should always flush after putting the lid down.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
