Will you stay longer at same hotel?
Go to diff hotel on same island?
Fly to new location all together?
Take a cruise? etc etc....

I'd love to hear your plans.

FI and I have not yet decided.
This is definately a big decision to make. Right now our travel agent is looking into booking us a charter from Montego Bay (2 days after the wedding) and taking us to Aruba. Theoretically, they appear pretty close on the map, and she says that it shouldn't be too difficult to get us where ever we want to go. Honestly, after staying at the resort for 4 days prior to the wedding, by the time we take off for Aruba we will have been there for 6 days. I think I'll be all ready for a change in scenery.

Oh, and we had looked into flights and suprisingly we would fly back to Baltimore (where we are from) for a layover, and then to Aruba.... yeah... back home, then paradise. That's just way too much travel for me, and I really don't think I'll want to hang out at my local airport for 2 hours in the middle of my honeymoon.

Good luck!!

We're doing a weddingmoon cruise I guess you could say. Our cruise is for 10 days, we get married on day 3 in St. Thomas and then we've got a week to enjoy the other ports and days at sea. We also plan on going on a great trip for our first anniversary.

We are planning to have the wedding in Negril and spend the week with family & friends and head straight home, then have a party back home for the people who couldn't travel & then head off on honeymoon to Maldives and Dubai. It's beginning to look like the HM is going to cost more than the wedding!!! So we are not going to plan anything until we see what the finances are like much closer to the time.

I am getting some great inspiration from you ladies & now think staying a little longer in Jamaica and having the dream honeymoon on our 1st anniversary is a fab idea!!!

I love this forum!!!

We're doing an 8 day wedding cruise. We already have 21 people coming and the save the dates haven't even been sent out, so since everyone will be on the cruise with us, we want to do a separate honeymoon. We'll be home from the cruise on August 27th, and I have to be back at work right after Labor Day, so we're thinking of doing our honeymoon during winter break (I'm a teacher).

We are doing a week in Cancun with our family for the wedding and then heading to the Bahamas for our honeymoon. Quite a few people are planning on staying in Mexico for a second week and we really just wanted to be alone for our honeymoon, plus I have been whining about wanting to go the Bahamas for a while now and my FI loves to make me happy :)

We decided to stay in Jamaica, but move to a couples only hotel. Our wedding location allows 14+ but we want it to be a little more romantic and toned down than being with our friends and family. Our wedding is on Friday and we will move on Sunday to our honeymoon location.

yeah, my fiancee and i are combing the wedding and the honeymoon. to us, that was one of the main reasons why we decided to have the wedding abroad. by combining the wedding and the honeymoon saves us money and gives us an ideal setting for our wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
