My OOT Bags~ the big hits and the things that weren't used

Recommended Posts

Just got back from our wedding.... Some of the hits in our OOT bags were...

The bag itself....I got I from Christmas Tree Store for $3.99

Advil, tums, band aids, Imodium shout wipes and the cups

Something that we didn't put in but one of our friends did bring with them was crystal light packets everyone was using them in their drinks.

We have 90 guests so it's been very difficult trying to figure out what to put in OOT bags and budgeting it. With this many people I threw out the idea of towels and flip flops immediately.

so now this is what I have:

- the bag itself (we personally customized our own on vistaprint.ca)

- sudoku puzzle book (dollar store)

- playing cards (dollar store)

- a set of cute candles as our "favours" (littlethingsfavors.com)

- sunglasses (e-bay)

- fans (littlethingsfavors.com)

- postcards (ordered from vistaprint also)

- customized suntan lotion bottles (bought hand sanitizer from dollar store, emptied them and put our own stickers (from vistaprint) on them)

- beachballs  or paddle ball for kids (have to decide)

I hope they all turn out okay. I wanted to put more but had to cut down on a lot of ideas unfortunately due to the number of guests we have.

I may still add last minute things such as wipes or something...

I love this thread.  such great ideas.  I know that the hotel we are staying at provides a tote bag and I think I'm going to skip buying the tote bag and see if I can use the hotels instead!

How did you guys deal with couples?  did each person receive a tote bag or did you give one to single people and then one to a couple with things for both of them?

I'm giving each person a bag and a tumbler, but some things will just be 1 per couple or single (emergency kit, deck of cards, etc.) I was going to originally do just 1 bag per couple, but I got a great deal on the bags so figured I'd just give one to each person

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
