I thought I surely wasn't going to walk down to the Bridal March because I never liked it, but after listening to this version of the song, I am in LOVE!!! Thank you Vikki for posting it. I looked on iTunes and couldn't find the song...I know it is from his For A Lifetime album but when I click on it is says it is unavailable.
I bought it on iTunes but looked it up on youtube so I could post a link here.

I have never pictured myself walking down the aisle to Here comes the bride. I just found this beautiful song by Sarah Mclachlan "Answer"
YouTube - Answer by Sarah McLachlan
This is going to be the song played when I walk down the aisle.

I really like "This Year's Love:" by David Gray, but I think that will be a good first dance song :)

Call me a Traditionalist, but the little hairs on my arm still stand up everytime I hear Pachelbel's "Cannon in D" -- even at an island, it is perfect and sooo WEDDING!

It has been my walk-down-the-aisle song for as long as I can remember. Some things like this you can't let go of, no matter where you are getting married, right?!

You'll find your perfect song, I just know it!

Count me in as another Canon in D bride! I wanted to go with something less traditional but I couldn't find a song that I felt would be suitable.

there are plenty of versions of canon in D out there ... just look for your perfect version! i think i've decided i'm using this one from t. carter music's highland serenade (celtic wedding music ... FI is irish and we're going to ireland for our honeymoon):
                    YouTube - Canon in D

i know there are steel drum versions of it out there too which would have a more beachy feel ... best of both worlds! traditional AND beachy!

I too am having "the best of both worlds! Traditional AND beachy!" I will be another Canon in D bride. I have hired a musical trio to perform the ceremony music and I think it's going to be awesome!
