Post here if you are getting married in Jamaica

Angelsj247 -   Our date is set for September 19, 2014 at Secrets Wild Orchid. I was also worried about it being hurricane season, but I didn't want to have to wait a year and a half to have the wedding, nor did I want to rush to have it in the early summer months and have it be way more expensive as well. From the other brides I've talked to on here..they had no issues whatsoever. It's definitely a chance to take, but I'm just going to pray for amazing weather!! :-)

Thanks! My wedding is booked for september 30th! Lets hope for good weather

I decided when we weren't having kids at our, that I also didn't want kids running around..especially at our honeymoon. I originally was going to go with Iberostar Grand...but then I had our travel agent price secrets too at the last minute and found that the rooms were like 300+ a night cheaper. And the resort is newer. I looked into it even more and read alot of good reviews on it. I decided that would be the place after only a couple of days! I know my TA also said that RIU resorts are really nice as well. But for me...the adults only was a really big decision maker for me!

@Jennkn87- You will have to keep us posted on how it goes! I haven't seen too many Secrets SJ/WO Brides on here, so I'm still so unsure of things! Eek!

Getting married in Jamaica is my FI idea and I couldn't be happier.  I went to Jamaica for the first time in October 2013 and I fell in love with the island.  Can't wait to decide which resort.

Hi all! Getting married in Ochi Rios at the prestigious Laughing Waters, also known as Dr No Beach where James Bond shot the iconic scene of Ursulla coming out of the sea in that classic white bathing suit. Ocho rios is full of gorgeous places and waterfalls and I will have my very own waterfall and private beach. I'm excited a lot.

We will name our tables after our favourite James bond movies to mark the occasion of my UK background. UK and Jamaican fusion!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
