Chocolate Brides: Hair Question

Recommended Posts

Thanks for all your compliments ladies! Whatever you all choose to do with your hair is truly up to you but just don't stress out so much about it.

Hey ladies!  My hair is natural and does NOT get along with humidity.  I have never had tracks but I am seriously thinking about having them put in before I leave.  This may be a dumb question but if I plan on getting to DR on Wednesday and swim, lay out etc before Saturday would my hair still look the same?

Hopefully this helps you Raazzy... I can tell you I refused to get in the water before the wedding but my sisters did and they were in the wedding. My youngest sister wears her hair natural also and her hair didn't get along with the humidity either. But she had a REALLY awesome flat iron (I think it was a Cortex) and her hair came out and stayed straight throughout the night.

Raazzy-- if you decide to get weave sewn into your hair and you go swimming before the wedding, just be sure to plait your hair before you get into the water. It will keep your hair from swelling. Also, I'd put some type of conditioner on my hair before plaiting it. This will help it from getting tangled while in the water. Once you're out of the water, wash and style your hair as your normally would.   I hope this helps!

Thanks! I can't wait either! I've got about 10 months to go so I'll probably change my mind another 24,284,393 times before then, haha. I see that your day is soon coming up! I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide on. Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be ahhhmazing!

Hi Everyone!

I've been looking through all of the idea here and I am still a bit torn. I have decided NOT to have my hair out for the trip and wedding. I will likely have micro braids or invisible braids. I am not a "hair down" or "hair in the face" person. It will likely be in a bun. But now my dilemma is should I wear a tiara, flower or both? LOL. I am looking for ideas that can possibly incorporate both. Any ideas? I can't seem to find any...

Thanks in advance for your input and suggestions!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
