Do You Put the Actual Lemon in Your Drink?

I still use lemon, I just don't put the actual peel in my drink. Although, I am sure the lemon juice probably shouldn't go in there either since they just sit there in a bucket.

This is soooo strange because I was just thinking about this tonight at dinner after I put it in - yeah I am going to stop that habit! I am sure you are right about it being nasty but I also agree that I don't want to know what happens at resturants. Once I saw the dateline or 20/20 about hotel bedspeads I was destroyed! YUCKY!

In a bar or restaurant NO...I just squeeze it.... but at home, I love lemon in water...I don't drink soda either.

I do it - but I am so NOT a germ-a-phobe and that stuff just doesn't bother me. But I honestly hadn't thought about it, it's a good point.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. It can be pretty nasty, but at the same time, there are worse things out there that people don't think about. I am with Ann on this, I am so not a germ-a-phobe. Two things that are a lot worse than the lemons are money and grocery carts. My mom just made my son a grocery cart cover because he likes to chew on the carts. I think that is probably where my daughter caught RSV from as well, either that or the toys at the Dr's office.

Don't get me wrong, I am sure that some places don't wash them and some servers don't wash there hands, and I will probably think about it more often now when I go out.

Oh yeah, if you want to stay away from gross, don't eat peanuts at bars. They have found traces of feces on them!! Ewww!

I never used to use the lemons until I got preggo and can only drink water (or at least that's pretty much all I drink) so lately I have been putting the entire lemon in my water some days, and you know I never thought about it but yes that's disgusting.
