I know that they have a lot going on and am not expecting super fast replies, but it is making me a little nervous.

But anyway, I was asking if they could send me all the restaurant options we have for the dinner and the pool side reception options/costs. Maybe one of you could help me with that and email this information to me if you have it. (We are staying at the Akumal and getting married at the Hammock location on March 31, 2012). My email is jillblecha@gmail.com and any information you could share would be fantastic!

Thanks!

I am pretty sure if you are staying at the Akumal side, you have to have your dinner at one of their restaurants.  These are the three that they have on that side.

Restaurant Arlequín (Gourmet)                                                           80 PAX

Restaurant Dolce Vita (italian)                                                               100 PAX

Restaurant Frutos del Mar (fisherie)                                                        100 PAX

I don't have menus for them, but I heard many good things from some of the girls on here about the Gourmet and Italian.

The poolside reception:

D.J is $210.00 per hour

Drink options are as follows:

Open Bar / extra charge

National Bar -  17 USD per person/hour, 12 USD add. hour:

Beer, Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Cocktails, Gin, Whisky

International Bar – 24 USD per person/hour, 18 USD add. hour:

Beer, Tequila, Rum, Vodka Absolute, Whisky JW,

Chivas Regal, Cutty Sark, Cocktails, Gin Beefeater,

wine of the house, sparkling wine

Special Cocktails – 5 USD per person/ hour,  3 usd ad. hour:

Beer, Piña Colada Cocktail, Margarita Cocktail & Sparkling Wine

Hope this helps !

Pam

We just confirmed and sent in our deposit for the GBP Tulum, departure May 19th, 2012! woot.gif

I requested a May 22nd Wedding Date, but they only have 2pm available.....thoughts, is that too early?

Anyways, I couldn't be more excited! But if anyone out there has any advice to pass along in what to ask, and how to get things started I'd be so very grateful!

I'm booked for Nov 2012 - and they said 2pm also - my TA (who also got married at Tulum) said thats just the standard time they put in - and it can be changed later...
but if you WC told you thats all they have maybe its true. As your wedding is a lot closer than mine.
I would double check directly with them. Ask if you can change it till 3 or 3:30 - thats what i'll do a bit closer to the date.

Awesome aquamanic!  I am booked for a May 26th ceremony, but I will be arriving at the resort on May 21st.  I reserved my wedding day back in May, luckily I was the first person to do so.  Jazmin is my wedding coordinator and she has been GREAT so far and has answered my emails within 24 to 48 hrs....but there have been some days where she has answered several emails within a couple of hours.

I would just be as detailed when you do ask questions and when the answer that is given doesn't make sense ask again! LOL  Basically from reading this thread I came up with a bunch of questions to ask and she did a good job in answering them.

The deposit isn't for the wedding ceremony, but for the trip itself with my Travel Agent. Our deposit hold 30 seats/rooms at the quoted price for 90 days so that our guest can start booking their trips!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
