I found out later that he returned my first ring choice for my new choice. Needless to say, he could not do it in enough time for our trip (we went to Vegas for our 1 yr anniversary). So he proposed on NYE, 9 days shy of our 13 month anniversary. We will have been together for 2 years, 4 months and 14 days by the time we wed.
We have decided to move our wedding date up. Our new wedding date is Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Which means as a couple we will have dated 1 year & 22 days by the time we were engaged and engaged 1 year 8 months and 29 days by the time we are husband and wife. I was watching a show and a couple had gotten married on NYE. I was thinking that by NYE 2010, we will have been married for 3+ months. smile29.gif. Isn't life interesting....

FI and I met online and met in person two weeks after we started talking. Little over a month after meeting he proposed the first time- sort of unplanned, blurting it out (very cute). The Official proposal came at 1 year 10 months. And we will have been together 3 1/2 years when we get married.

We planned on marrying within a year after the engagement, but so much happened... we bought a house and completely renovated it, I quit my job as a Flight Attendant to go back to school, and we've just been so busy. We'll be together now for 4 years by the time we get married.
For a second I thought you were telling my story. Lol.
We were together 4 months when we got engaged. He asked me just before we went to London to meet his family. We bought a house and are both still finishing school so the wedding plans were put on hold. We will have been together about 4 years when we finally get married.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
