Before we were engaged... It was 5 years and 3 months we were dating. Had to stop and think, seems like it's been forever that we're been engaged now. By the time we're married it will be almost exactly 7 1/2 years. woot.gif

Ohhh! I love these.... DH and I talked about getting married 2 months into our relationship, but didn't make it "official" until we were about 9 and a half years together. By the time we got married, we were going on 10 years and here we are on our 12th year! smile123.gif

2 years and 3 months. And boy, was I anxious! He must have known somehow.

When I read some of your stories I realize that this isn't a long time, but when you're my age and you know you've found the ONE it's hard to wait!! In the end it will all be worth it though.

When we are married it will be 3 years and 3 months :)

We were together for about 5.5 years before we got engaged and it will be 7 years (and 4 months) when we get married...

When we were dating (around 3/4 years) we had mutual friends who waited 7 years (maybe longer) before they got engaged and married and I was always like - "That isn't going to be us! 7 years is a long time!" And sure enough.... That's us now... doh.gif

Wow, it made me feel better reading these! We've been together 8 years and I thought it we would have everyone beat! Maybe the pressure from everyone else is what makes you think you're waiting too long. We always knew we were going to get married, so we didn't mind waiting.

2 years and 3 months for me. But he first started asking me about marriage on our third date...we moved in together after 2 or 3 months, got a dog after 5 months, and bought a place together at the 7 month mark. Then we slowed down until a year and a half later! When you know, you know.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
