No AHR for me either just can't imagine having to plan a second event. The destination wedding is enough work.

I'm using the knot and its great for sharing information and pictures of our destination wedding.

So true when else can you pull off a veil? I think I'm going to do it.

I think i'm going to go with a long lace veil for the ceremony it will look awesome in pictures then take it off for the reception. Also if you are doing the trash the dress the veil in the water looks super cool too.

Oh and our anniversary would still be the cancun one. But if my fiance wanted to celebrate both the church and destination one that's cool with me too. lol

My fiance and I have talked about doing a small church ceremony. It would be at the church that he was baptized in and that I frequented as a child. Both his parents and my parents would be happy that we at least got married in the church since the rest of the wedding is non-traditional. Not sure yet what we will do. If we do it in the church only our parents and sibliings will be in attendance so that it doesn't take away from the ceremony in Cancun for our other guests. Really need to start looking into this otherewise I guess we will do it at the courthouse.
