  1. If you are sure you want to wear one pair, I would say nude as well. But....a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes!
  2. I agree with Choco Taco, that is a great thread! I have started to write my ceremony, and it has really helped me. If you are a crier, don't read the thread when you are at work! So many beautiful scripts.
  3. Absolutely beautiful wedding. You were a stunning bride. I love all the orchids! I am also using the ring my grandfather gave my grandmother for the 'something old'.
  4. I love Etsy! I've only looked thru a few pages of this thread...about 100 pages more to go...I guess I won't be very productive at work tmrw
  5. Another vote for TIseege! She is amazingly helpful!
  6. Haha cute! I didn't notice when your date was- sorry. I am sure everything will turn out beautiful! It seems like we all stress out, but in the end it turns out perfect. Enjoy!
  7. Great song! My brother used that song for his first dance. I am using I loved her first- by Heartland.
  8. I am getting my fiance a suitcase for him birthday- this way we hopefully won't have to borrow...
  9. I was totally the same. I thought it would feel 'fake' if we got married ahead of time and had a symbolic ceremony. After lots of research and hearing from other brides (mostly on here), it seems like the big day in Mexico is no less 'special' if you sign the paperwork ahead of time. We have decided to legally get married in Vancouver a few days before we go to Mexico. I want it low key as well. Both sets of parents will be there, along with an Uncle and Aunt (that my fiance is very close with) that cannot make it to Mexico. I don't want any 'mushy' stuff, no ring exchanging, just the legal paperwork. We will probably go for dinner afterwards. We will also arrange to sign something in Mexico during our ceremony.
  10. Generous! The catamaran cruise sounds awesome! I will have to check out factory 21 for travel mugs....I found some ones I liked from discount mugs, but I still want to shop around!
  11. Yoga and P90x DVDS- mostly the cardio ones!
  12. I agree! I am going to do cute flat sandals for the ceremony (on the beach) and heels for the dinner/reception!
  13. Beautiful dress! On a random note, I love the beads hanging down from your ceremony space. Did you make them or rent them?
  14. Agreed! I am glad I have this forum...this way I don't drive all my friends and family crazy!
  15. Another good question! Do you spend most free moments thinking about all this stuff....because I do! haha
  16. This is getting pretty specific...but if you can't play your 'own' music at the restaurant, when would the bride at groom 'entrance' take place? At the pool side reception? Or at the restaurant with no music?
  17. I have another question I would love some help with! We are having our dinner at the Mediterraneo at the Coba. Does anyone know how the music works? Can we make a CD of music we want played during dinner? Just curious, as I know we won't be the only people in the restaurant. Also, how does the seating plan work? Can we choose the table size eg 4 or 6 or 8 people per table? Or do they only have certain sized tables? Do they have a long table for the head table? Thanks!
  18. We also are not doing travel bags. I don't want to carry more stuff than I already am and I figure most guests will bring advil/ aloe stuff etc with them. We are doing custom travel mugs as well. I have heard the lines for drinks at the resort can be long and the cups are small. I hope these will be useful for the week. We are also doing a simple thank you letter. We haven't decided if we should go to costco before and get some snacks (gummy candies, trail mix) to prepackage and put in the mugs. Again, it just seems like lots to lug around!
  19. Sorry to hear about your setback If you are really set on certain flowers, have you thought about using an outside florist? They usually work out cheaper than your resort, even after a delivery fee. You will probably be able to get exactly what you want. I am in contact with Marvin from Maya Floral for my May wedding, and so far he has been great! [email protected] I am sure there are other great florists in the area as well! Good luck!
  20. Thanks everyone! I still want to wear my hair down or half down, but I guess it'll have to be a 'game time' decision. better start looking at updos just in case...
