    Yes I am going with a white theme too, well more ivory and a light blush. I prefer to let the scenery of the beach bring in the tropical element. I will take a photo of my bouquet soon, I had it made out of silk and it still looks wonderful

    I love this picture, it is the same style I am trying to achieve. Except that I might have more different candle holders and less flowers as I think it might be very expensive to get the blush and ivory roses and peonies. At this point I am collecting antique glassware to put on the table so it will be very unique. Hopefully not to heavy to ship there though.

    are you bringing the sand and seashells down with you ? Oh and I love this idea, I was just going to do simple candles in a vase, but sand and seashells make it look so much more beautiful !

    Ours is so far at $10,000 for flight + hotel (for 2 weeks) + wedding package. We have $2000 put away for vacay spending money but I dont think that will be enough. We have yet to do some important things like grooms outfit, decorations, and boarding dogs. So probably closer to $15,000 when its all said and done hopefully

    My guests are paying close to $2000 which I am now realizing is quiet expensive, but we also had to include connector flights. So I don't know if this is a thread or not, but do you accept/expect wedding gifts still when they're spending so much money to attend ?

    Ya I asked him if he would be okay with a female photographer and he is. But now looking more into it the pictures are actually quiet expensive. Like $600 which makes me think he might appreciate an xbox and some games more unforntunatley

    I want to do an excursion too for our guests but we have the issue of grandparents being in their late 60's and many 20 somethings. So catering to both would be difficult. What my FI and I decided would be to do something like visit the ruins (hopefully not too hot or too much walking for the older folk) and invite everyone and then do something like a night out in cancun for the party life fto cater to the younger crowd. As for paying for everyone, for the ruins excursion, we'll see how many people want to come.

    They're both great shoes, but if its opinions your looking for a prefer the ballet shoe. It would look especially pretty with a brooch attached to the toe or a satin bow, but that's just me

    I absolutly love the sparkly heels idea but not just for reception. I was thinking for ceremony too. the sparkly though that caught my eye was more like these. I am also fearful that without a strap on my shoe I might just trip or fall out of them in a dress, so thats a must for me. I definatly like the more expensive of the two, of course.     Ya we'll probably bump into each other! Are you having a large wedding party? Are you bringing down a lot of extras for the ceremony and the reception?     since my dress is so elegant it would look weird for my FI to just be in a shirt and pants. So I want him to wear tan coloured pants with a vest, a nice white long sleeved shirt, a tie and nice shoes. He wore a pinstrip suite with a vest for another occasion and the look was amazing. I'm hoping the tan colour will look just as good and he won't be too hot.

    Yes it is Pronovias, Alma. Love Love Love it and its also light weight so I wont sweat to death in the heat. I am still looking for a a cocktail dress for the reception but haven't quite found the look I want yet.

    I'm walking down the aisle to Beyonce's ave maria, instrumental only. And our first dance we want to do a soulful version of "use somebody" by kings of leon. We have some reservations to this because the lyrics aren't exactly about love. What are people's thoughts on that? stick to something meaningful or choose a song with more appropriate lyrics?

    Hmm hope this works this time. Anyways, this is my dress. I have yet to get any pictures of me in it but I will definatly post wedding photos once the big day comes
