What is that in the vase ? lol can't seem to figure out whats in the vase? How come you would leave out the centerpieces if you had to do it again ?

Oh eggplant will be nice and rich. 73 people is quite a bit ! are you doing a welcome dinner or OOT bags at all? Are you planning on entertaining your guests at all while they're down here, like an excursion or something along those lines? Because with 73 all those might be a little difficult. As for what my FI is wearing. We went to the Wedding Show and found a business that makes custom suites starting at $299. I however don't want a full suite but a tan coloured pant and vest combination. I think a jacket would be too hot and the vest would still make him dressy enough. And of course a white button down dress shirt. Is your FI having lots of input in the wedding or just letting you run with it ?

We will have been together for just over 3 years before we get married which I think is perfect. And we have lived together for 2 years, which is a must before you get married because you honestly hate eachother for a couple months trying to get used to living with a new person.

I definatly have been shopping for summer clothes. I have a lot of sundresses because I think they are just so wonderful. Its hard to put those clothes away though and not to touch any. I haven't found many white dresses though which is disappointing because I do want to wear more white. Where are you finding your summer clothes ?

Super happy I found this thread. I have been in the weight loss mindset since December, but only managed to put on 10lbs and then lose that 10lbs lol. I work full time and am a full time student so I'm banking on sheer healthy eating to help me lose weight. I'm finding it difficult to work in any exercise during my days although I do have a Shapes membership (total rip off by the way). So does anyone have any suggestions? Especially for that armpit fat area and thigh/butt area!

Ya originally we wanted 3 weeks but our travel agent said that we would have to pay for extra flights because they only come in 1 and 2 week packages, which I found to be completly ridiculous! But ya I'm sure guests would give you and your hubby some private time knowing that your recently married and wanting some private time. As far as I know we are having about 25 people, its still unknown because some people want to get those last minute deals and stay at different resorts, which I'm finding to be annoying because I don't know when I'll have the final number. What about you are you having lots of people or just a few? As for colours I'm going with a blush and an ivory/white theme. Kind of classic and elegant, I think I have some pictures on my profile. My situation is that my FIs parents are offering to pay for quite a few things and my mom is not financially able to contribute much. I know this makes her feel bad, but its hard to turn down money. During speeches and what not am I supposed to give a special thanks to his parents or anything, or make them equal, even though they contributed much more towards the wedding.

I was inquiring about flowers to a florist in the area and they said hydrengas were one of the more cost efficient flowers with peonies being one of the most expensive. He sent me images of arrangments with roses and various flowers, including hydrengas, that ranged from $75 to $135 in price. Not sure of your budget though and preferences.

Ya for sure! It would be nice. Are you arriving before your guests? Because I want to do OOT bags but not sure how I would do that with arriving at the same time and assembling them and getting them to each persons room before they get there. Have you done a lot of planning so far because I have done pretty much nothing and its starting to scare me!!!

Oh ya I never thought of even between different hotels in the area that is great! Its a shame more women aren't replying I think this way would work wonderfully.

Well this thread is a great idea, but are there any threads where brides can skip the shipping process and buy/sell/trade/giveaway items while still at the resort? I mean at Dreams Riveria Cancun they have at least a wedding a day if not 2! So why not collaborate with those down there and skip the shipping charge? If anyone will be at Dreams Riveria Cancun during May 10 - 20 then I will be willing to do this, it only makes sense.

Hi Sarah80, I'm arriving on May 7 and leaving and leaving on May 21st. My wedding date is May 10. We should definatly meet up! Although it is honeymoon time the 2nd week, it might be nice to have another woman to talk to lol

Me too...I think its a great way to cut on some costs if your colours are the same. I'll be staying for an entire 2 weeks so anyone can let me know if they're interested.

This is what I have so far, just a start. Need more antique glassware and candle holders. Plus a nice runner of somesort. And of course more flowers. Its just a mock set up to see how it is coming along.
