I have a dilemma!! We decided to go with Mayan Vibes DJ services however he doesnt have a dance floor. Renting one is 850 and its just a plain ol dance floor we are trying to figure out some other options.... Has anyone had a beach reception without the dance floor? We are worried about dancing in the sand but really for $850 for a plain dance floor we would like to invest that somewhere else. We were thinking of using post's with paper lanterns to give the dance area definition. What are you thoughts and if you have done something simular how did it go? Thanks Everyone!!!

We initially got everything to do our MIB STD but the picture we ordered came in really thick, hard poster board paper so they dont fit in the bottles!! So we decided to use our MIB as invites instead....how did you make the invite on the paper? I was just going to use our computer and try and make something up but yours look so good!

Oh I really like your MIB invites! I have only seen save the dates but I love that yours are invites! and the starfish on the outside is a really cute touch...Good Job!!

Hi everyone we moved up our wedding date!! it was originally february 2013 and we now decided and changed it to October 20 2012 (woohoo!!) But I am a little freaked out that I lost 4 months worth of planning Did any of the previous tulum brides use an outside flower vendor? Ive looked into Julia and another one (cant remember his name) but I havent got any responses from them and its been about 3 weeks. Would anyone have suggestions? Thanks

Hey Ladies, I am in the same boat! My FI and I had originally picked February.9 2012. Our reasons for picking that date were simply hoping it would be the off season for tourism (we were wrong ha ha) So our date had no real meaning to us. I had gotten 2 price quotes from a local TA in Alberta and they were both 1800-2000 per person which far exceeded our expectations. We were hoping to be able to get a package for around 1500 per person. We have decided on Dreams Tulum. I was on itravel2000.com looking up prices and they have prices on package vacations for October which range from 1100-1700 (nights, rooms vary) and this has really made us seriously consider changing our date! I feel going without a TA might be a better way to go as well. Everyone can pick their duration of stay, their flight times and they can do it on their on. Having booked previous vacations through itravel2000 with no problems I think most of our guest's would be able to navigate the site and booking. I am concerned in regards to weather though! Ive read some information that states hurricane season ends around september and some of said it ends in November. Have any of you ladies been to Mayan Riviera during October?

That flower is amazing! I was planning on wearing a veil for the ceremony and then placing a flower in for half of our pictures and the reception...and this flower is beautiful!

If any brides have used an outside flower vendor for their ceremony and reception who would you recommend? I have read a few reviews about Julietta, one being great (her photos were beautiful) and the others were not very good at all. We are using the chapel, and I would like to have a flower arrangement for each pew and then 2 at the front of the church where we will be. We are having a beach reception and I would like to incorporate the flower arrangements from the chapel into the reception. Who has quality work?

I introduced myself quite a while ago, howeverer we now considering changing our wedding date by a couple months. Initially, my FH and I decided on February.9 2013. Now we are thinking about changing it to May or early April to help cut the pricing down for some of our guest's. I have a couple concerns, hopefully you ladies can lend some advice. Here are my worries: -Weather, I am unfamilar with the weather in Tulum and would like to know if the rainy season kicks in around this time (Travel websites say it doesnt start till June) -Spring break and other holidays, part of our choice with February was missing any major holidays For any brides who have had their wedding in February, May or April please give your opinion Thanks!

Hi beachwed2013 After choosing the Dreams resort in Cancun we began looking at other Dream resorts and as soon as I saw the wedding chapel in the Dreams Tulum resort, I fell in love! We researched it more and we talked with a travel agent as well so we have decided on the Dreams Tulum Resort. I am sure Dreams Cancun will be perfect though, if we hadnt of found the one in Tulum I would have been happy with Dreams in Cancun One thing I still love more about that resort is the location in Cancun, absolutely perfect! I am sending out my save the dates at the end of the month! We are just waiting to book our dates....we will be getting the price quotes next week and then booking!! So as soon as thats done we will sending them out. What are you doing for save the dates?
