    Bride and groom holding up a thank you sign or it written in the sand is a must for me...or something similar. Definitely great for personalized thank you notes after the wedding.

    My dad passed away when I was young and I miss him everyday. I'm definitely having my mom walk me down the aisle and including a picture charm on my bouquet. I like the idea of leaving a chair empty though.

    They look great! Definitely copying the technique if you don't mind. Never thought of making my own magnets. I'm pretty sure I have a roll of magnetic tape stuff laying around the house too.

    I love your monogram. I've played around a little on powerpoint but just can't get anything to come out right. Guess I just have to put in the time and keep working on it. I think it's a task for my MOH to help with.

    I was thinking about the same thing. Maybe electronic STD and then a paper invitation? I think in this day and age it should be perfectly acceptable especially if all of your guests are computer savvy. I can see where some would think it's tacky though. So I'm no help in actually answering your questions but I figured I'd throw in my 2 cents. I'd like to hear other opinions as well.

    Just another tidbit...the best day of the week to book flights is Tuesday. Since a lot of people look for flights over the weekend they tend to be higher. You don't have to fly out on a tuesday, just look at booking then.

    I'm no help with your decision but I wanted to say . There's a ton of information here so as the previous posters have said, do some digging and learn about other bride's experience. Picking the resort is definitely the most difficult decision.

    So far the plan is to stay in the same area but switch hotels (probably in the same chain) to something that's adults only.

    Ahh...I'm horrible at coming up with good gift ideas. Luckily I have a few more weeks. Do they have hobbies that you could get something for? Or a book on? Maybe you can find something cute on Etsy for your MIL. What are they interested in?

    and Congratulations. I think finding a local travel agent that has destination wedding experience is best. S/he will be able to suggest resorts and you can do some research from there. There are lots of great reviews on this forum from past brides.

    ok so I'm a little late but I'm reading way back in the AS thread and saw that you had a small wedding, more akin to what I'm planning and I had to check it out. Glad to see that I don't have to have a big wedding to make it great and that I don't have to freak out over planning. Thanks for posting!

    Love it. I've been debating over a short and a long dress. I haven't seen a short dress like this before. Need to keep looking.
