  2. Anyone buy mini umbrellas in case of rain or to block the sun? Wondering where to get them...
  3. Glad to hear I'm not the only one! Thanks for the support! What kind of HIIT workouts do you do?
  4. we are using mason jars with aqua yarn wrapped around them and hydrangeas in them. we are having burlap runners as well.
  5. Hi! I am getting married in 4 months and I just need to lose 5 more pounds! It's so hard! I've done it a couple years ago and had the desire and motivation because I was running my first half marathon and was all into being healthy and being ready for the race. But I'm getting married and you'd think that'd be a HUGE motivator! It is, but I just can't seem to stick to a great meal plan and stay strong. I think the biggest problem is my sweet teeth.. i can't stop eating desserts! My food plan: I am vegetarian and eat pretty good during the week. But weekends are AWFUL! plus the little pieces of candy everyday. I feel like by the end of the week I am doing so good and by Monday I am starting all over again. My exercise plan has been good since January: Insanity 5 days kickboxing 1 day Bikram yoga 1 day I will get back into running once spring actually hits and maybe do some P90x to really tone things up. But I need help losing these 5 extra pounds! Any advice from those of you in this situation?? How do I curb my sugar cravings and control myself on the weekends???
  6. bikram yoga is really great! at first it was hard to get used to and going to the 90 min classes just seemed forever. but i've been doing it for 6 months now and i'm used to it and i feel i am benefiting alot mentally from it. (as well as phsycially). it's a great way to actually clear your mind and not even realize it! and i love how much you sweat. never realized i could sweat that much!
  7. will try this... i need to eat better desserts!
  8. We are doing postcards for our guest book. Once I get down there I'll go and purchase them and then leave them out for everyone to sign. And then eventually put them in a book!
  9. We are staying at the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta in June. It is a timeshare so I'm not sure what the prices are if you aren't part of it. But there seems to be a lot of kid/family friendly things to do (lazy river, wave pools, water slides, kids activities, etc). It is not all inclusive, but we plan on going to Walmart and stocking up on drinks and food. This way our guests can spend as much as they want instead of forcing them to pay for the all inclusive rates. And we are getting married at Las Caletas! check out the thread, there is a lot of info on it!
  10. I have faith that everything will workout for our trip to Mexico and i hope it does! I love it there no matter what, but I just hope it makes a good impression on the Newbies traveling with us. I plan to spend a lot of time at our resort, go out to PV during the day and party in our suites at night!
  11. I'll be here in June! We got 12 suites for all of us! I hope it's as fun as it looks!
  12. I think I'm opting out of the DJ and using my computer or ipod and having my brother's friend stay on top of it throughout the night. What I understand is they will set up the speaker system for us and then we can just plug it in??
  13. Great ideas and pics! I'd like to see how everyone's real updo turned out!
  14. I plan on going to the Walmart in Nuevo Vallarta when we get there to stock our rooms up with snacks, water, and alcohol. (We aren't staying at an all-inclusive). And I know they have a Sam's Club in Puerto Vallarta as well.. so we might end up stopping there too!
  15. Awesome! Thanks so much for this site!! So helpful. I think I'll get the small first aid kits on sale for about $2 each and add some Pepto into them.
  16. Thanks for posting your pictures! You looked beautiful and the pics were so perfect!! Did your strap bother you at all throughout the day/night?
  17. Of course this would happen to us! But it sounds like we're okay if we stay in Nuevo Vallarta and Puerto Vallarta. Just don't go traveling around the state at night... For you girls going there in the next couple months.. keep us updated on how you felt down there. Here is the travel warning: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_5665.html
  18. Just and FYI to future brides: I'm getting married in June and haven't needed to email Annie at all yet so I can't comment on her response time. After I made my deposit back in September, I've just researched all my questions on here and started getting my own ideas together. In December (6 months out) they sent me a word document on questions I need to think about for the wedding. These are questions that I need to answer (along with inspiration pics) and send back to Annie by the middle of March (3 months out). I've also added on questions that I need to ask her specifically. Then we'll go from there and we'll see how she is after that! (Just thought some of you newer brides might want to know the timeline of things and I'm not sure if this was the same for everyone else).
  19. Congratulations ladies! Your weddings looked beautiful! Kya, where did you get the groom's shirts and pants from?
  20. how long of a boat ride is it for the girls in the morning? And how long of a boat ride is it for when the guys come over (before everyone else)? Just wondering because my aunt gets motion sickness and if these rides are faster, I might have her come early with us.
  21. Can someone describe how the processional went and when the music played for each group of people that walked up? I want to have the guys already at the front and not sure if they should walk in to a song with the groom and his parents behind him or if they should just go up there when everyone is being seated. And then I want the girls to walk one by one before i walk down the aisle. But I'm not sure if I should have the same song as the girls or if there will be enough time for 2 songs. Any input would be great on this whole process!
  22. The last song that will play while everyone is getting seated is "One Love" by the Glee Cast! Love it and so upbeat for everyone getting together!
  23. our first dance is to Jason Mraz's new song "I Won't Give Up". Love love love it!! And sooo perfect for our relationship (we both love him and we had to have a song by him and this song just happened to come to us at a perfect time!)
  24. can you please post a pic of you in your wedding dress on your big day??! i have the same dress as you and can't wait to see someone in it all glammed up!
