  1. Yeah you guys should all definitely come over to the thread! There is tons of information there. Plan answer about the speaker rental, it is $150 an hour (except the ceremony, where it is included). And Mike, thanks for the link to the videos. I had to found many, and it gives a different perspective than the photos.
  2. Ok, here is the top of the shoe. It was annoying try to get an image, but I made it happen! I do think they look nicer from the top, and in person, than that first side picture shows.
  3. Here, I will keep it going. Dislike. Running?
  4. Thanks Sandy for the idea of putting it in the planning form. I am trying to come up with some purple drinks now (of course not the easiest!)
  5. It is well written and pretty much sums up how I feel about the whole thing. Thanks for sharing!
  6. What a beautiful ring! Thanks for sharing so far, I look forward to reading more.
  7. Wow, thanks for such a detailed post. This has to be one of the best on here.
  8. I it sounds great, especially when everyone is supporting you. Enjoy a stress free vacation where you get to marry the person you love!
  9. Congrats! I lurked for awhile, but I would not have lasted a year either. I am working on my junior member status too, let's hope I am there soon!
  10. Your weddinglookers beautiful, full of wonderful touches. Thanks for sharing with us, especially with such great detail.
  11. This is a great thread. I learned a lot from it, and it helped me with my decision to do pared down OOT bags. I am only putting stuff that I think people will really need/want, and not wasting money and space in my suitcase with other stuff.
  12. I am sorry for all the problems you have had, but the new resort looks great! Hopefully everything else will be smooth sailing for you now!
  13. Thanks for sharing, I am going to check out the etsy vendor for my flower girl baskets now! Oh, and your cake topper is super cute!
  14. I think if you can do it when others aren't around it is not an issue at all. And I think those that are spending so much coming to your wedding would really appreciate it.
  15. I agree with the others, what I can see looms good, just make sure you get to see a whole wedding shoot for a better picture of her work. Does her price include the travel, or do you have to pay for that in addition?
  16. As far as I know, those are the only private outdoor locations. Otherwise you have the ballroom indoors. We are doing the tequila terrace, which I think is more popular, based on what it looks like and that I have read people didn't notice other people. I think neither of them are perfect for privacy because the beach terrace I thought was right beside the pool? So there will still be people around. The beach terrace is better if the ladies want to wear heels (tequila has wooden slats, no good) and might be larger, although I am not sure about that. Hope that helps somewhat!
  17. It feels good to get some stuff done, doesn't it? But I have a question- what is this planning document people keep talking about? Is it just the "wedding book" you find online, or is it something they sent you specifically? Because my wedding is in 8 weeks, and they haven't sent me anything other than the booklet.
  18. Ooh, I like this dress! I like that it is flowy, but a bit sexy too. Great for a beach wedding.
  19. Thank you! Hopefully running 25kms a week will help me too!
  20. I guess my relationship with my fiancé is different as we have been together for over 10 years and already have a son, so our finances are very much combined. In my case this wouldn't even be a question of his money versus your money (together), so maybe that is why I am scratching my head? If you have a budget for the wedding and your Mum had agreed to pay a certain amount, and now you have gone over, where is the money supposed to come from? Why does he not want to help out for *your* day? I don't know, I wish I had good advice but I really just feel confused and I hope you guys work it out.
  21. Neither of us are into boudoir photos so I am not giving him that. I had thought of a watch but to be honest what I would like to get him and my budget do not match up! So I have been thinking of either getting him a guitar (he likes to play and LOVES music, but would never buy one for himself) or a piece of art - like an original painting of something that has meaning for us, for example something from Australia where cause we lived there 4 years. Anyway, just thought I would throw the ideas out there for those that don't want to do the pictures or were looking for something different.
