  1. Here are my BM's dresses. I love how they can be worn again after the wedding.
  2. Opps, I meant to quote this post: Please see my post above - sorry
  3. I LOVE this dress!! I dont think its too much for a destination wedding. Its perfect. The dress I picked for my wedding dress is a poofy ball gown but very light. Whatever you feel pretty in, wear it. don't worry about it not being a destination dress. This dress is stunning on you.
  4. I ordered my wedding shoes yesterday from Beyond the Rack. LOVE THEM!!!
  5. I think number 3 and 4 look gorgeous on you. If I had to choose, I would pick #4 - absolutely stunning. I have an allure dress too
  6. Hey Tanya!! Super CRAZY!! This might make it even crazier but we are also flying to Jamaica on May 19, 2012 from Toronto. Are you flying Transat Holidays? For our reception we have chose a private reception at the blue lagoon. I think it will be a lot of fun, at first we weren't really sure what we wanted to do but I think it will make it more like a wedding. Oh gosh, I know. You would think that having a DW it would be much cheaper but its not. everything costs money!!! For wedding colours, we have chose Yellow, Pink and Green (Yellow is the main colour and pink and green are the accent colours). Currently, we have the Waves of Love package which I really like because it has everything I want but I love the elegance of the Island Pearl Package. I sent our WC (Kadie-Ann) an e-mail to see how much it would cost to upgrade the package. I was thinking about picking the island Pearl Package and just bring the parasols and such with me but I read somewhere that you aren't allowed to bring extras to the ceremony? Were you told this also? I asked my WC today just to verify. I love her work and someone ( I believe her name was Nikki) on here used her (Lauren Anderson) for her wedding in Jamaica in November. The pictures were amazing. We are flying her down to Jamaica for 3 days (paying for her flight and stay) and she will do our wedding for free. Such a good deal. I was going to book Dianna Campbell but after reading some not very good reviews, I just couldn't do it. Although, her work is nice, it all seems very staged. Our WC told me that if they are a guest of the resort there is no vendor fee. We are not getting a dj as it does seem like a waste of money (and very expensive for that matter). We are just going to bring an ipod (seems so much easier). We were thinking about getting the steel drum band for our ceremony (the FI wants this lol) I read on a forum (can't remember where though) that someone got the steel drum band and it was the best decision they made for their wedding. I also looked at getting the limbo/fire eaters for a surprise for our guests but not sure if its worth it. Have you decided on any entertainment? Have you picked a wedding dress yet? I went about 5 times to try on dresses and finally ordered mine last night (it is not your typical beach wedding dress). Once I tried it on I knew it was the dress. It won't be in until March of 2012 (that is so long to wait). Are you going to a TTD? Jessica!
  7. I love the cupcake idea or a mini cake idea (I saw a bride on here who had mini cakes and it looked so good). If I had the choice of cake or cupcakes, I would choose cupcakes.
  8. Hey DoubleTee!!! We are wedding date TWINS!! so cool. What time are you getting married at? We are getting married at 2:00 p.m. on the beach I'm from London, Ontario. It's been great so far, she's so nice. I've been taking with Kadie-Ann Rose. I think we are going to go with the either the private reception at the blue lagoon or the beach bbq. We are doing the beach for our ceremony. We are using a photographer from Houston, Texas. We are flying her to Jamaica for our wedding. She's super awesome. How's your planning so far? Which package did you pick? wedding colours? reception area? photographer? Have you thought about rehearsal dinner? or something special for your guests the next day? Ohh I'm so excited for us. When are you flying to Jamaica?
  9. Ohh nice, I'm so excited to see your planning thread and your review when you get back. Are you going to do a rehearsal dinner? or something the next day for your guests? I'm trying to think of some creative ideas that don't cost to much money. There are so many pretty flowers in that wedding booklet. I love the Calla Lillies but I also love the roses with those green flowers not sure what they are called but so pretty. I'm going on Thursday to try on my dress again and make a final decision. Ahh so nervous, it such a big decision. I'm thinking about doing like Hot Pink/Fuchsia and Green or Yellow or both. I found these really cute wrap dresses on Victoria secret that come in so many pretty colours and there only $40. Oh nice, I looked at them too but decided to go with a lady from Houston Texas - Lauren Anderson. I love her work. Hope all is well.
  10. Wow, fabulous pictures!! I love picture #5!!! You look beautiful Thanks for sharing
  11. Wow, I still can't believe we are going to be wearing the same dress. I absolutely love that dress because its so elegant but fun at the same time. I can't wait to see it on you. I'm going with an ivory dress as well because I'm so pale and the ivory complements by skin tone. I think I am too. Its just hard not knowing what it will look like. Ohh I should check out Macy's. We don't have one here in Canada but I can always take a trip to the states. What colour are your BM's dresses? I can't decide between pink or blue Was it expensive to upgrade your bouquet? I really like the Waves of Love package but I love the elegance of the Island Pearl Package and either one will go with our wedding colours which are either pink and blue or pink and green. We still can't decide on this but we still have 364 days to decide lol We are going to do the beach ceremony too but at 2:00 p.m. and not sure about the reception because we are not sure how many people are coming. Are you using the resort photographer? or bringing your own? I'm so excited for you. I can't wait to read all about it when you get back
  12. Love this idea and its so unique. My FI and I love hot sauce, we might need to borrow this idea. Thanks for sharing
  13. Ohh wow!!! I can't believe you have San Patrick Eresma. I would love to see a pic of you in your dress. We are so wedding twin!!! YAY Did you get your dress in white or ivory? I'm looking at ordering the San Patrick Eresma in Ivory but I'm concerned that all the place settings are in white. I'm afraid that my dress will look dirty - have you thought of this or am I over thinking it Oh nice, I want pink bridesmaid dresses too! Where did you get yours from? I can't wait to see your planning thread. I'm not sure if you know the answer this to question but when you get to the resort do they give you an option of flowers, cake and decorations or will it look exactly like the pictures on the website? Are you getting married on the beach? or the gazebo? I'm sorry if I have asked these questions before.
  14. Yay, Can't wait to see it!! Ohh I love your wedding colours!! We are thinking of blue, pink and yellow or coral, orange and blue or pink, green and blue - any suggestions on how to pick colours. We have chosen the blue Waves of Love package too but now I look at the Island Pearl package and I like it too - I like the flowers in the Island Pearl and elegance of the package but I also like the Waves of Love package because it has a beachy feel to it. What made you pick the Waves of Love package? Oh nice, I'm looking at a mermaid style dress to - currently the San Patrick Eresma. I think its the dress but I need to try it on again - I only got to wear it for a bit because my appointment was over. I want a dress that is elegant but fun!! What does your dress look like?
