I love this planning thread! I love how she sent out two mailings!! I think it will be getting everyone a little bit more excited for the wedding!!

This is not really in the oot bag as much as something for the women attending our ceremony. We are ordering all white pashminas and getting each ladies names embroidered on them. These will be hanging over the back of the chairs at the ceremony for each lady. I thought it would look very elegant and I can control where everybody sits haha!!

We are also having a lot of people travel down with us. We are going to end up making about 40 bags. The oot bags do get very expensive... I have been adding things up and the cost keeps rising and rising... We are staying at an All Inclusive Resort, so I am not adding any snacks except Tortuga Rum Cakes because it is something I know the resort will not be offering. I am not including any kits with sunscreen/advil as I believe all of our guests will pack that. We are adding underwater cameras something fun I know 90% of people will not bring. We are adding Acrylic Tumblers with Straws for all adults but not children, Squeeze bottles for the children. Godiva also sells macaroons that are to die for!! They are pretty decent sized and one person cannot eat a whole one so we are adding one of those to each bag. We bought small packs of bubbles for the children and I am designing dry erase door hangers for each room for guests to leave each other messages. I am NOT going to do beach bags unless I can find decent ones that are pretty inexpensive, I think it is just going to be plain white bags!

I know I guess I have been spoiled my entire life!! I go to other states and feel like I am getting ripped off by paying taxes on things! They should just up there prices to reflect their sales tax just my opinion..

What type of reception are you choosing and why did you choose this type of reception? There are so many different types I want to see what everyone else's outlook on this is.... Past Brides would be great also!!

We have another Dollar tree across our border in Mass. But then I'd have sales tax!! haha I'm so spoiled with not paying it but I guess I could try there also!!

Searched and searched for you.... and I didn't really come up with anything.. all the cups are over $200.00 so $200.00 seems like a good deal. LOVE your bags!! I wish I could do bags like this but I am going to end up having too many people to spend $12.00 just per bag I'm thinking of actually doing nice personalized beach bags for my bridesmaids things!! I actually might end up using those. I love them! Great job on everything, I love all of the sayings on your tags!!

I am wondering if anybody has purchased beach chair towel covers from etsy.com? I am going to be buying these for one of my bridesmaid presents and I really want to know who you think the best "maker" of these is? The quality? and how big they end up being (for packing reasons) Can't wait to hear back from all of you girls!!

My brother got married two years ago in Walt Disney World.. Our whole family is from out of town... New Hampshire, so everybody had to travel.... My FI and I ended up in total spending about $3000.00 on accommodations, park tickets, and airfare to and from Florida. I was in the wedding and paid for my own dress, chipped in for her bridal shower and we all pitched in for a "stag and doe" type party!! When your friends accepted the invitation to be your bridesmaid they had the chance to respectfully decline. I was fully aware of the expenses that I would have to pay for and more or less we did the parties because we wanted to not because it was expected of us. Your wedding should be fun to plan let your girls worry about all of the parties!! I am giving my girls two years to prepare everything, giving everyone enough time to save some money up and not have to rush!! haha and my maid of honor is already taking things away from me I was informed the other day I can't make tank tops for anyone!!! She's already got it covered!! Haha and she is already planning a bachelorette party for 2013 hahaha!! Got to love your best friends!! I hope this helps but it looks like my outlook is a bit different from everyone elses!!

So you are going to try and transport real flowers?!? I am starting to consider those real touch flowers everyone has but I'm afraid of the quality and the look... i'll probably end up buying a sample to see.

I am actually including in my welcome binders or pre-travel information (not sure which one yet) a list of questions about me and my FI. There will be a prize for the first couple who completes this!! They are going to be questions that everyone will know!! This will force our guests to talk to each other and get to talking hopefully this will work as a great icebreaker!!

My junior bridesmaid is going to be 12 years old!! I am actually giving her the same things I am giving my actual bridesmaids! To make her feel like part of the group and she is very girlie!! She is getting Necklace from piperblue at etsy with matching earrings for the ceremony, A tan extender from Victoria's secret, A personalized beach chair cover, flip flops for the ceremony, and she is actually getting a little something extra a bathing suit!! I still need to find some more ideas for their gifts but we are paying for their hair/makeup/manicures/pedicures at the resort!!!

These could not be more appropriate for a Jamaican wedding since they are the flag colors!!

Shopping at Sears yesterday and I walked past this adorable bathing suit!! I couldn't let it stay on the shelf!! I guessed at what size my niece will be in two years and ended up buying a size 10!! I thought it would be a great addition to her Thank you gift!! Best part is it is on sale right now for $11.00!!!!

I just bought my starfish from the Christmas Tree Shop! A Pack of 6 for $1.99.. Geesh!! I love that store! They have sand dollars, small starfish and large star fish!!
