So today was our RSVP cutoff date (March 31st). Guess how many we received? Seriously, guess. We got back ONE. Seriously. ONE. And it was for someone that we took the money and booked ourselves. This makes me quite frustrated!!! I mean, all the people we absolutely need to come are booked (we've got 17 booked including us and photographers) but still. There are some people I am still wondering about. Any making my OOT bags. I'm quite far along, but it would def help to know how many people are coming to my June 11/11 wedding!!!! Anyone else experiencing this? Is it just that it's a Mexico wedding that people assume it isn't as important???

Haha I haven't gone long enough without sugar to experience that Congrats on reaching your goal, and being so close to your wedding!!! GOOD JOB!!! I have been using Jillian Michael's videos to workout and have found them intense. However, out of curiousity and not wanting to get bored, I t ried one of the Insanity workouts (Cardio Power and Resistance) and it made me sweat more than any other exercise ever has, even Jillian! And I couldn't even do al lthe moves yet, which is good becaus it means I can continue to use this video for the next while. I loved it because he actually does give breaks (unlike Jillian) bu I felt like I worked out way harder than any other thing I've ever done!!! The last 13lbs is so hard to lose!

I've decided to start using videos because I can't always make it to the gym, and when I can't, I figure it's a good excuse to do nothing! I have quite a few different videos I'm going to try, and yesterday I did Jillian's "No more trouble zones" workout. It was hardcore! I could barely get out of bed this morning!! I decided that I'll use the videos about 2 or 3 times a week, and go to the gym to do running the other days of the week (I still want to work on my endurance). When I go to the gym I am usually too lazy to do strength training and I know how important it is, and I never have any ideas of what to do, so these videos will be perfect!! I've got less than 3 months til my wedding!!

Wow I think you are ahead of me! We are getting married at Barcelo Palace in the Riviera Maya. Our travel dates are the 6th to the 13th, then we go to the Dominican for a honeymoon. I have done: my dress, bridesmaid dresses (ordered), favors, most OOT bag stuff, invites, honeymoon, menu cards, pretravel brochures, flowers, hair style chosen, wedding bands purchased. Still need to do: song list (using IPod), send list of pictures to photographer, book spa appointments, make a schedule for the day of the wedding, make a tag for the OOT bags, finish a few items for the OOT bags, figure out if I want more decor added to the ceremony, bridesmaid gifts, groomsmen gifts, groomsmen and groom attire, bride accessories, shopping for mexico clothes, figure out our ceremony script... I feel like I'm forgetting a lot. I only have 1 RSVP back but we have 17 people booked so far.

What does everyone else have left to do for their wedding? I really feel like I am forgetting to do a bunch of things because I'm not yet in a panic with less than 3 months to go. What are the little details you still have to do?

Wow your wedding sounds amazing! Congrats!! I have a qustion for brides doing a legal ceremony at Barcelo. I have been reading about the different requirements for a legal ceremony among the different resorts. From what I understand, all we need is our passports, birth certificates, and witnesses? I have read a few diferent posts about needing notarized birth certificate, a "long" birth certificate, a birth certificate translated into spanish...I really hope I dont have to do all this. Also, what did you have to do to make your marriage legal back home? (Im from canada).

i would say do what is important to you. if its important for you to have the parents walk down the isle, do it. they will be sitting shortl after anyway. if not, then have them in the audience. its your day!

My FI and I both have small families which is why we decided on adestination wedding in the first place. If we had decided to do a "Normal" wedding at home, there would be more people there we "had" to invite than actual people we wanted! I think that you will end up being happy with 15 or less guests beause each one will mean a lot to you, and you will have much more personal time with each one at your destination. So far we have 12 booked including us and the photographers, and if no one else decided to come, we'd be ok with it. There were 2 people we HAD to have at our wedding (or we would not go otherwise) and both are coming for sure, so we are happy. Ultimately it ias about you and your FI getting married so I doubt you'll be disappointed when it happens! Plus, the less guests means the better OOT bags or favors you can do

Yeah I agree, Im so sorry you are feeling this way. I agree that you need to talk to him and figure this out. I dont really think it would be right to go through with it just because of the losing money thing...maybe you could still do the vacation thing but hold off on the wedding part until yu are certain? It realy must be so tough, I am so sorry you have to deal with this.

Ok so I did the common boarding pass invites. Everyone loved them. I had one of the tickets as the return ticket for them to send back as an RSVP. It said all of the common info such as how many are coming, travel time, etc. However, nowhere on it does it say for them to put their names. Now I'm freaking out. I got one back and I have no idea who it is from becuase the person did not put the return address on the envelope they send back. Was I supposed to do that??!! Has anyone else had this problem? It seems like my RSVP cards might be completely useless if I dont know whose I am getting back!

We are getting married in the Riviera Maya, and we live in Canada, so I don't know if it'd work. We'd probably want like 25 keychains. Let me know if any of this would work, and maybe how much it would cost?

Yesterday was my 3 month mark! There is only 3 months left until our wedding! I am super excited and a bit nervous to get things done. I am finally starting to try to get in shape, and I reaaally have to start thinking of the things I need to get done right away, such as things I need to order!

My wedding is in June 2011, (3 months!!) and I sent my invites out in January. So far, I have received ONE RSVP card! Albeit, I have confirmed 12 bookings so far, but still. There are many many people whom I have not heard a word from about whether they are going or not. My RSVP deadline is March 31st (less than a month), and not only that, I found a discount thing that they can use to give them $200 off but only until March 31st. I sent an email to my American family (I'm in Canada) and havent heard anything. My cousin is gradding high school 2 days before my wedding, but they all seemed still willing to show up the day before. I am getting frustrated like all of you. I don't plan on sending anything out (even though I think your postcard is adorable!). I can't spend more money on stamps, especially to the US! I plan on emailing then calling people soon, screw the formalities!! I just want to knwo how many people are going! I have been spending a LOT of time getting together favors and OOT bags with them in mind, I sure hope they are coming!

I just finished picking out the BM dresses and ordering them. I mentioned earlier that I never felt amazing about paying for them, but knew I had to becuase they were paying so much to come down. When we were trying on the dresses, one of my sisters said, so you're paying for them, right? I mean, we have to pay soo much to go down. I had been planning on it, but that sort of pissed me off, considering that specific sister is not paying for her trip at all-my dad is. It's not like my wedding is cheap for me. I don't mind paying for them, I just want them to appreciate the fact that I'm paying $265 per dress x 3 and I don't feel like it's being appreciated. After trying them on, they had to leave quickly, and I was standing there, paying for them all, and haven't heard any sort of thanks.

Michelle 2011- It may depend on which wedding package you chose and your wedding location...but I know that the speakers for an IPod is included in my wedding packing (Strawberry Passion). I have seen that many brides have done this before and think it's a great alternative to hiring the expensive DJ. Claudia gave me that spreadsheet to start filling out a long time ago. There was a time that I had already filled it out and sent it to her and a couple of emails later she sent me a blank one, thinking I didn't have one, and asked me to fill it out. From now on I am going to attach it to every email I send her so she knows everything we've agreed on. The latest "step" that I'm on is picking my flowers. She sent me quite a few pictures of flowers, but I have to say, I was quite disappointed. Flowers have never been a big deal to me, but I was hoping for more options. I'll be able to pick them now that I picked out my bridesmaid dresses. I think that Claudia can sometimes get confused with so many brides but I reallllllly hope she has everything all in order. I am going to ask her to confirm the location/details next time I email her. She promised us a specific reception location and I have put it all over my pamphlets/information.
