  1. I just wanted to check in and share that I am done the first month!! I am starting my recovery week which I plan on supplementing with running (although I haven't tried the core cardio and balance yet, so who knows!). I am so excited because at my weigh in today, it shows that I have lost 6 pounds this month during insanity!! My weight fluctuated a bit and a few times I actually gained weight, but it very well could have been muscle because when I used to work out, I'd just do cardio like running so I had no muscle. Keep in mind that this is my last 10 lbs so it is REALLY stubborn. I do not lose weight easily. In addition, I have also lost a total of 5 inches!!! (Not all in one place, but overall). I only have just over a month until I leave for my wedding, so I really hope that month 2 of insanity works just as well as month 1, and I think it will from the stories I've heard!! Also, I have just recently in that last week really being picky and stubborn about what I eat. I have started to be much more careful with my portion sizes and staying away from processed or fatty foods. I only have about 5 more pounds to lose until I'm happy, so here's to hoping month 2 really does it for me!!
  2. I've only got 43 days left until our wedding!! I'm so nervous and excited!! I hope we have everything figured out!! I am nervous that we'll show up and find out we forgot something really important!!
  3. Wow that really sucks about the photographers! I hope we don't have to deal with that but ours are staying as guests for 7 days so technically noone needs to know they are our photographers!
  4. Yes we also confirmed that guests not staying at the Palace do not have to pay a day pass to attend a wedding in the palace...but we did have to book ourselves in there, which we were ok with
  5. Yes we are sooo close! I can't believe it. Looks like you are pretty prepared! As for me, we just ordered my FIs suit today which makes me really happy. It had been hanging over my head! I'm sure this isn't all I have left to do but here is a few things Get groomsmen pants and shoes Get girls shoes Bridal and bm accessories Finish getting music (iPod) Send out pretravel brochures Call airline to discuss where to put my dress Final dress fitting Figure out guestbook I'm sure there's lots more ! We are so close!!!!

I took before pics but I don't think I'd try to get the tshirt because I'm not just doing insanity, I'm incorporating other workouts in too so my progress wouldn't be a good representation of insanity only. I'm on my last week of month one and I'm sooooo excited for month two! All your results make me motivated!
  7. Congrats!!! That's so amazing that you were able to go away and still stay on track. Over the last week, I was finishing my final practicum for university ever, which was pretty intense, so I fell a little bit off track. However, instead of just starting over, I've pretty much just continued where I would have been and stepped it up a notch. Ive found that now that I'm in the third week I'm finding a lot more strength to do extra workouts on top of insanity so I plan to keep up with that! (Thought it looks like month 2 will be insane!!). I really don't have much time left so now is the time for me to go absolutely insane
  8. Accessories is actually what I'm focusing on next!! I have the dress and BM dresses but no accessories (including shoes!). I am looking for a nice hair flower for TTD and also a tiara...except I think I want less of a princess tiara and more of a headband. I have NO idea if I should buy the BMs their accessories...what are you girls all doing? I paid for their dresses...
  9. Im really sorry that you are dealing with this situation- I hope that it didn't ruin your wedding day- I hope that you can still think of your wedding night with happy memories. In my experience, sometimes letting a friend go despite your history and past is the best thing to do. In fact I recently had to make that decision, and felt awful doing so, because I felt I would look bad by ending the friendship. In the end, it came down to me examining the friendship and realizing I didn't get anything positive out of it. So maybe that's what you should think about...do you get positive things from this friendship? are you getting as much as you give? does it benefit you in many ways? If not, it probably isn't worth it. Sometimes past and history doesn't matter as much since people change. You need to think of yourself, which to me was very hard, becaus I always wanted to be there for my friend, but agian, if you aren't getting anything positive out of it, is it really a friendship?
  10. Joanne that's such a great idea. It sounds like they are willing to help so that could work. My weddings too soon to figure that out but it's a great idea. I think it'd have to be set up personally between brides because if they just kept stuff brides left behind they could prolly charge for it.
  11. Maybe instead of waiting for a Monday to be motivated to start it, start it on any day you are motivated. If we all started waiting until Monday to start our "diets" and exercise, it may never happen! You dont have to start on the same day as on the calendar. Once you start it will be a lot easier to continue!
  12. I'm glad you made it!! I actually didn't start on the day of the week you are supposed to either...I actually planned it so my rest day was on Friday (today- yay!) instead of Sunday. I love to workout on my days off so I'd rather pick a day I'm going to want to have a day off anyway, like the end of a long week!! So I spent the time to make a new calendar with the same workouts just starting on a different day so I can follow it easier. I'm excited for my second fit test coming up tomorrow! I know I have improved. I can post results here if anyone would like to see them. I never did any other workout video as a program before so I may not be as good to start off with, but I know I've improved!
  13. I have sort of followed the calendar... There were a few times that after a workout I did another workout from Jillian Michaels because I feel like I want very targeted strength exercises too, so I did her "No More Trouble Zones" DVD as well. One day I was totally exhausted so I took a break and worked out on my rest day...and yesterday I was so motivated, I did the Cardio Power and Resistance video, did an Ab Ripper X from P90X, and then went out for a brief run! I love using the videos because it's quick and it's at home, and I've found that my motivation for exercise in general has increased a million times over just from these videos because I started feeling stronger and even a bit leaner within the first few weeks! I can also run faster and longer and I can do real pushups!! I'd say do what feels right for you. After starting the videos you might feel like it's enough, and you might feel like there are still some other things you want to do. Just make sure that you are not over doing it, and sticking with SOME sort of nutrition plan (I don't use the one from Insanity) and you will DEFINITELY see results soon!! Also, come check us out at the Official Insanity thread on this site if you haven't already! (just search for it)
  14. Yeah the pure cardio is intense!! I prefer the videos with breaks the best because I can give it my all up until a break and then like, collapse lol. However, I like it how he has the exercises planned so it's not totally intense exercises in a row. I am so excited for my fit test this weekend! I cant wait to see if I have improved as much as I think I have (obviously I have with the pushup jacks!) I'm so glad to see that everyne else is doing well!!
  15. I am on my second cardio recovery today... I find it really hard to just do that one video in a day...I feel like I'm not doing enough. I am tempted to go for a run, but it's called cardio recovery for a reason!! What are your experiences with the cardio recovery day? I get a little sweaty and my legs burn but I don't think I burn many calories. Does my body really need that much of a break?
  16. Today is my 9th day doing Insanity, I did Pure Cardio today. I was SOO excited because for the first time I was able to do push up jacks!! I believe you have to do them on the fit test and I had to write 0 when I did my fit test! This whole time I have been doing "girl" pushups while they do real pushups, but today I thought I'd give it a try and I did it!! I am so happy! The scale definitely doesn't say that the videos are working, in fact I believe I went up a few pounds. However, I'm almost completely sure that it's because I'm gaining muscle. Prior to this workout, I was never motivated to do any type of strength training, just running, so I definitely had muscle to build. I definitely feel like I'm getting more toned. Yesterday I did the Power Cardio & Resistance but I also did a Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones workout because I wanted to add in some more strength training. I think the 2 videos are a great mix. I've never tried P90X. How is everyone else doing?? 2 months tomorrow until my wedding!!!!!!
  17. It probably depends on your overall fitness as well as how much time you have. I never did P90X but I only have 2 months so I wanted to do the most intense program to get ready. However, I am not in that bad of shape, so it wasn't that bad. IF you have time you may benefit from donig P90X first to get a little bit conditioned for the type of exercises they have you doing in insanity.
  18. Yes I did put fave song on the RSVP card, I thought it was a great idea ,but it has proven to be a waste of time since I only got 2 back. Oh well. I also plan on playing my sister's first dance song since my wedding day will be a few weeks before her anniversary. Im going to make them dance for that one. I also just recently bought an Ipod for the ceremony. I love it! Ive never had one before, ive only ever had just mp3 players.
  19. I got my second RSVP today...only a week late...but I'm glad I at least got that! I really shouldn't complain because we have about 20 people booked, but it would be really nice to have an idea of who need a vegetarian menu, when they are coming, their fave song, etc. Oh well. Donie that's so great that that person can go for you even if just for a short time!! I feel that people are going out of their way to come to my wedding too because it turns out my cousin is graduating high school 2 days before my wedding so a bunch of my aunts and uncles aren't coming until the day beore my wedding, and then leaving retty much the day after! It'll be quite weird because they live in a different country than me and I would have liked more time to see them! I figure I wont have much time to hang out with them on the wedding day!! I still have to get my FI's suit. I'm kind of stressed bout this. They assure us they will get their summer stuff in soon, and that it will only really take a couple days to order stuff. Anyone had experience with this? (Specifically, Moores).
  20. OMG Im so glad you started this!! Just the other day I was scouring this site hoping to find other people who are doing it! I have just been talking about it in the weight loss for 2011 brides thread. I am a week in, and I love it. I actually hated the cardio recovery day because I felt like I didn't do enough (although the leg work he had me do was PAINFUL!!). I think next time I might go for a run that day. Today I actually missed my workout which was supposted to be the plyometric video (killer) but I plan on doing it tomorrow for my rest day. I am definitely seeing results already...just feeling stronger and maybe even a little more toned in some areas. I'm very excited to see how I look in a few weeks!! I do not follow the meal plan or take the shake. Personally, I'm miserable if I can't plan out my own food, so instead I havej ust been keeping track of what I eat and make sure it is within my calorie range (I use sparkpeople.com to do that). My wedding is June so I sure hope this video works for me!! It is DEFINITELY a plus that I just hve to turn it on and go. I'm te type of person that likes to exercise but it is SO hard for me to get the motivation to get ready, get i the car, drive to the gym, workout, drive home, etc. It takes so much less time if I do a video and Im glad to find one that actually works.   21. 7 months will FLY by. It really isn't even real to me that I only have like 2 months!!! It's absolutely insane. I feel like I have a lot to do! Once you hit 6 months, it will go so fast that suddenly you'll be 2 months! Please let me know how it goes for you when you start Insanity!

  23. I just started insanity a few days ago! I am totally loving it so far. A couple weeks leading up to it, I was doing some Jillian Michael vids which were ok but then I tried one of the Insanity videos and I absolutely loved it! I feel like I'm getting so much more of a workout done...by the end I am literally dripping with sweat which I NEVER do. I'm so excited to start seeing results. Already I am feeling stronger! I love being able to do something at home. It is SUCH an extra effort to decide to workout THEN get all the way up to the gym. It has definitely been my motivation!! I have just enough time to finish the program before my wedding!
