I want to buy ours ASAP. With the price of platinum and gold rising so quickly I think it is best to look down a price now. We both want platinum rings and they are only getting more expensive as the days go by. Hopefully, we can settle on something sooner rather than later.
Brandy - Thanks for the coupon tip. I will be taking advantage of this next time I have a chance to cross-border shop. And your ring for Chris is really nice and original.
Brandy, your lip balms are very cute. I like the part about asking the groom first. Lisa, I think if they have a background you can probably just print them on regular card stock and trim to whatever size you need.
Melissa, You need a cd with your ceremony songs and a list of when to play them. I think they are: guest entrance, bridal party entrance, bride entrance, singing of certificates and recession. The WC assistant will handle switching the songs.
Lua, I think those rings will look gorgeous together! You're so lucky that the price is reasonable. The matching band for my ring is $2K because I want platinum. The band we picked for FI (the only one he can really picture himself wearing) is $4K. I have to send my ring away for six weeks so that they can ensure a perfect fit between the e-ring and the band. I picked out my e-ring and instantly fell in love but FI wouldn't tell me that he bought it. I had to wait 6 months!
You should have your TA check it out for you. I'm pretty sure it is mentioned by some tour operators. It's definitely worth the effort. At least then you get a private event and it doesn't cost anything. The cocktail hours starts at $400, so wouldn't you rather either save that money or put it towards something else. It's also a great activity for your guests while you take pictures.
It is so hard to wait for something you really can't wait to see. Just don't worry if there isn't updates when you track your package. One day it is in China, the next at Customs and then a couple days later it shows up at your door.
I hope the holiday doesn't slow down your dress too much.
I double checked my measurements with my dress and there was a couple inch difference. Monica Bridal asked for suggestions on how to avoid this problem in the future. What did you suggest? I had no idea what to tell her.
That's so funny they sell the badge holders. I'm there a couple times a week to pick up stuff for work. On another note, if you are looking for holders without the zipper, Walmart now sells the in packs of 10 for $1.99. They also sell lanyards in 10 packs. Everything can be found with the office supplies.
It has been a common issue that the dresses are too large. Monica Bridal informed me that she measured the dress before sending, so I will compare my measurements against hers. I am really sad that it doesn't fit properly but I am pleased with the quality. However, I would be more understanding if there was a slight difference in the overall fit instead of such a huge difference. Even she admits that there must be a discrepancy somewhere. I have raised a dispute because I am unhappy. We'll see how it can be resolved. I may take it to a seamstress this weekend for a quote to alter.
I'm half asian so I even have a small frame. I guess my curvy hips threw them off? I really don't get it! Did you put in a dispute? I only have another 36 hours to dispute until dhGate pays them. I was going to order another dress from them, but now I am reconsidering.
I really hope they offer to fix it. I sent her a message this morning, so we will see. I had ordered a BM dress too and it is completely horrible so I told her that as well. Maybe she didn't believe my measurements and added 4-6 inches to be safe?
Okay ladies, I finally got home to try on my monica bridal dress. The beading looks great, but there is a few mistakes. The biggest problem is that the dress is two sizes too large and will need significant alterations. I figured I would be able to avoid that with the corset closure but it is still big when completely cinched. I think I want to add crinoline to make it pouf a little... Here are the pictures: And the inspiration:
