  1. Lots of ladies have been complaining about lack of WC contact. Here's my advice. Plan everything you want. If you have specific questions, post on here and a past bride will probably be able to answer. Make a word document with questions and specifics of how you want things, include inspiration pictures. Send it to your WC, she will insert her comments and send it back to you. Print it out and bring it to your meeting where they will go everything. They are super busy, because they usually have a wedding everyday and they will spend the entire day with you making sure it goes well.
  2. Terpgurl, I've seen some people hang it above the jacuzzi, but I don't remember there being a ledge. We hung mine on the window. I didn't do a trial. The week goes by so quickly that I didn't want to lose precious time in the sun. From what I have heard, as long as you have pictures, they will do a really good job recreating.
  3. Wow Elese! Everything is gorgeous. I can't believe you were able to get everything done so quickly because the results are fabulous. I'm glad you were able to post your planning thread so we could all see your hard work and effort. So happy for your wonderful day!
  4. The hanger is cute. Where are you planning on hanging your dress? I have bangs and they were blowing a bit in my face. If you're inside don't worry about it. Remember you want to look like yourself.
  5. It is horrible etiquette to include registry information for an engagement party. The proper etiquette is to not bring a gift. It is very rude and I think it looks like a gift grab, especially if she is only four months away from her wedding and still holding 3 more events. People are going to be broke if they attend all five events (engagement, bachelorette, stag & doe, shower and wedding.) I wouldn't feel bad at all attending and not bringing a gift. Maybe you could get a group of coworkers to sign a card and a book on wedding etiquette? Just kidding, don't make it worse. Just bring a card with kind thoughts.
  6. Lisa - Your video was awesome and so beautiful. Ours is crap. Unless you want to watch me fidget for 15 minutes because I can't hear a word the JoP is saying. I'll send you the link.
  7. There was only one muggy, super hot day and it rained for about 20 minutes in the evening so that explained the mugginess. The rest of the time it was probably in the high 80's? There is a nice breeze. I don't think it was overly windy, just enough to keep you cool. But we did tuck my veil into the back of my dress during the ceremony so it wouldn't be in my face. There was also one day when you could feel the wind whip the sand from the beach onto the pool area. If you're really worried, maybe you can bring oil blotting sheets?
  8. Kitty, you could easily use songs from your ceremony, your first dance, etc. Is there any songs that make you think of each other? Just a hint though, if you plan on putting it on youtube, it erased our entire audio for our video because we had some copyrighted music on it.
  9. Maybe once he realizes that the e-shoot is all about cuddling and kissing in front of the camera he will change his mind. My Hubby wasn't at all interested in doing the shoot, but I booked it and told him he had no choice. We had a fabulous time and afterwards he asked why I didn't just tell him it was going to be two hours of making out.
  10. There was no bugs when we were there a few weeks ago. I think there was enough of a breeze to keep them away, there also wasn't any rain for the 11 days we were there. KSmith - are your tea light holders high enough to withstand the breezes and not blow out?
  11. Teira , those are beautiful. The colors are so vibrant. It's nice to see that I wasn't the only one that experienced bubbly dress.
  12. The Thursday works out for me, so count me in.
  13. I think the only thing most of us drank out of our rooms was the beer in the fridge, and that was usually just while we were on our way somewhere. All the bars have a huge selection of drinks and they will get you top shelf stuff. No one will go thirsty or have nothing to drink.
  14. Congratulations and have a safe trip! I love all the dresses and details. You will certainly look beautiful on your long awaited day.
  15. Again Trista, beautiful pictures. I posted our cheesy wedding video on You Tube, so if anyone wants to watch just send me a PM for the link.
  16. So now that we've pretty much concluded that Square One would be most convenient, how is everyone for dates?
  17. I actually got a coupon for a free 8 x 11 book from David's Bridal and Shutterfly. So I might make a book of our non-wedding pictures. Hopefully, my MoH sends me her coupon too so I can use that. Our photographers are making us a book as well. I still haven't gotten around to getting any of our engagement photos printed either. I think once we see our pro-pics we will decide what to do.
  18. She offered it to us at the meeting. No charge. You can also request them on your departure day if you leave late in the day since check out is noon.
  19. Terpgurl - We had 2 offsite guests. I really don't know what time they left, but it was most likely around 11 pm. No one came to get them. With that many people off site are you requesting a hospitality suite for them to refresh? We had one during our wedding reception so that guests wouldn't have to go all the way back to their rooms.
  20. I wish I had more to post. They just put one up on their FB site, so we're still waiting.
  21. If I remember correctly when we went to our wedding meeting there was something about a $10 fee for every bracelet that was being cut off. If you lose the bracelet, it's $75 to replace. Plus, we ran into another couple that almost got kicked out of the disco on the night of their wedding because the groom didn't have a bracelet. Thankfully, they believed him that it was his wedding day.
  22. Terpgurl... they are just a plastic wristband. Depending on how your guests have booked, the color is different. VIP Members have black bands, members have silver, honeymooners have pink, kids have purple, and everyone else has yellow. They are probably about half an inch wide. They put them on pretty snug, so you can't slide them off. We also had wrist corsages for the mothers, to cover their bracelets.
  23. Finally a hint of our photos has been posted on FB, from our TTD.
  24. Trista, those are so beautiful. Were most of them first look pictures? You two look smitten!
  25. Hubby told me last night that the course is okay. It is really nice, but it's not worth what they charge for a round. He said he wouldn't play there again if he had to pay that amount out of pocket. Oh, and I keep forgetting to tell all of you something. If you are getting jewelry for your bridesmaids, consider getting a cuff that will cover their resort wristbands. MP lets the bride and groom cut theirs off, but not the bridal party. I haven't seen our pictures yet, but it might be something to think about.
