  1. Thanks for the post! Unfortunately when I looked into it a little more, they have conviently raised their shipping charges by 15% so really, there is no discount at all...at least when shipping to Canada. When I originally looked into ordering, shipping for my order was $75, yesterday when I did it again with the discount, shipping was $99, no really the 15% savings of $24 was completely wiped out! I hate when companies do that!! Boo discountmugs.com!!
  2. I love your oot bags!! Great job! Just wish I had enough posts to download the attachments
  3. I just made an order of 125 pieces and shipping was $24. Considering the prices of stuff, I think its definitely worth the shipping costs. Even with shipping stuff worked out to cost $0.89 each, way cheaper than anywhere i've seen in the gta, and you can get everything you want
  4. Thanks for the info. What are your colours? Did you choose all black or are you giving random colours? How do you decide?
  5. We're having an informal welcome get-together at one of the bars the evening we arrive and will be handing them out there. Another option is to have the hotel drop them in peoples rooms for a small fee - I know they do this at our hotel for $4 a bag.

  7. Our m&m's arrived today and I LOVE THEM!! They're super cute and turned out perfect! Despite the huge shipping costs from the US to Canada, they're totally worth it! Can't wait until our guests see them!
  8. Our reception is outside, I'm not really concerned about the wind....I guess we could just put less water in if its windy??? Never really thought of it
  9. Just finalized our centerpieces today....we're going with one I saw on here, but instead of the orchids, we're going with cala lillies (to match our bouquets). We're just putting the 3 of them on each table and then putting votives around them to provide a bit more lighting.
  10. Thanks for posting ladies! You've given me sooo many ideas....now just to make a decision!
  11. hello Brides 2 Be: My ceremony was scheduled to start at 3pm but didn't actually start until about 3:30 and was over around 4pm. The reception was scheduled for 4:30-8:30 at Zavaz Plaza. It didn't actually start until 5:15 or 5:30. I didn't have an organized cocktail party. Most of the guests gathered at a bar at the Mexican restaurant (can't remember the name right now) and waited for the reception to start. I do think anything longer than an hour to an hour and a half will cause people to start getting antsy. Regarding the time the reception starts and whether it should start after the bar closes I really don't think the time it starts will be an issue. The WCs are great at making your area a private area and guests are pretty respectful as well so you won't have to worry about your reception being interrupted. And if your reception is at the Plaza Zavaz there really is no bar near that area. I know it may seem close on the map but it's actually not very close and that area is pretty seculded. We had people looking at the reception from their balconies but it wasn't like that reception area was blocking a path to a bar. Hope this helps. Thanks for your input, its great to hear from brides who have already been married at the resort. There are sooo many unknowns its kinda frustrating, thanks for putting me at ease
  12. Wow! So many great ideas! I found at least 10 that I really like! Now to narrow it down! Thanks ladies for doing all the hard work for me!
  13. I think 6 is the better time too...our wedding is at 3 though, do you think thats too long between wedding and reception - 3 hours???
  14. Thanks Jaime! Our WC said it would be no problem to switch it, so I think I will go ahead and do that. I guess the only thing I worry about now, is the fact that our wedding is at 3pm - is that too long between wedding and reception?
  15. Thanks for the great ideas! I think i'm going to have to use some exerpts from them!
  16. Since we also figured most guests will lose, break or throw out a favor, we are going with personalized m&m's! They're pretty awesome! I can't wait to see our guests reactions when they realize there are pictures of us and personalized messages on their m&m's!!!
  17. Hey Ladies, i'm looking for some advice from those who are or who have had their reception at the Zavas Plaza, or anyone who would like to share their opinion! We have scheduled our reception from 5-9, but i've just realized the bar that near our reception area, is open til 6. Do you think we would be wise to start our reception at 6 to avoid the noise/people? what do ya think? Thanks!
  18. Our wedding is November 16th....hopefully you can get some answers, with 56 guests booked, you're missing out on 3 free people!! What travel agency are you going through? What provider? We are going through sears travel and our trip is with signature vacations. I'd be all over them, maybe even get your travel agent to make an anonymous call to my agent and ask some questions....let me know if you would like the info. Good luck!
