  1. Excuse my ignorance...but what is an Event Painter? Sounds cool! LOL
  2. I had originally heard back from Pastor York that he was not available on my wedding day....I asked if I could be put on a 'stand-by" list and low and behold he just contacted me and my date has now come open....yeah oh yeah oh yeah.....crossing fingers and toes does help I guess! LOL
  3. I'm not absolutely certain....but I believe I saw them in a Real Canadian Superstore in Calgary. I'll be going there in the next few days and will have a look for you.....
  4. Another good find Calgary brides....I was in the new Bath and Body Works in Southcentre tonight. They have a clearance on many items...75% off. Funny enough they had cases of scented room spray----I think about 2 ounces. Nice looking bottles---sort of aluminum and different scents. Regular price close to $7 each...I got most for $1.25. I was going to include some sort of room deodorizer as I've read lots of comments about the humid musty smell in some of the rooms...this is perfect! I also stopped in Dollarama on Macleod Trail and picked up Advil tubes (10 count) for $2.00....it was a very production night for the old Welcome Bag project!
  5. Unfortunately Pastor York is not available on my scheduled wedding day. Does anyone know of another english speaking Pastor, etc...who is available in Punta Cana for symbolic ceremonies? Thanks ladies!
  6. DRb2b: can I trouble you to check on an additional email for phone, fax for Pastor York? I have sent him 3 emails in 3 weeks and they all bounce back saying his email is full....thanks so much!
  7. I bought cardstock at Michaels....it is in the scrapbook section. I am using them as placemats for the all white tables provided....cheap and easy....and colourful! As a matter of fact if you keep an eye on them, you'll get four sheets for $1.00----when that sale comes around again.
  8. I'm with you anyone starting out should definitely check out etsy and in particulat....www.vistaprint.ca......lots of opportunity for really cool FREE stuff.....
  9. Wondering if you sold all of these? I would be interested...sending you a msg. Thanks,
  10. Looks great! You should check out www.vistaprint.ca for freebies and cheap printing options.
  11. Well.....not sure what to tell you....we don't see many grooms! But please join us!
  12. Ladies: Could someone please provide me with current contact information for Pastor Rick? I've used some of the contact information provided in old threads on here...but everything is bouncing back! Thanks!
  13. Does anyone have current contact information for Pastor Rick York? I have pulled two email address for him off of old threads on here but both have bounced back. Please---anyone?? Thank you.
  14. @ JayKay: a few questions if I could....I have just taken the time to actually sit and go through the Vistaprint freebies....OMG, why didn't I do this before. So, at this point I have done a bunch of stuff and just saved it (to my cart). I just started to look at purchasing all the items in my cart....but couldn't seem to find a way to process them all....without having to do each one individually and pay shipping on each item???? I don't mind paying shipping but think there should be a way to simply order all items and have one shipping charge....Any suggestions? Thanks!
  15. Me too...I'm also in Calgary....I'll take 30 if you have them? Thanks so much! I have some questions about Vistaprint...do you mind if I run them by you?
  16. No, they closed the beginning of June...no more in Canada.
  17. There are several packages. I took the "mixed grill"...all has all the food options..It is $80 per person includes the bar and dessert. You can check them out at www.weddingboatpuntacana.com
  18. I have booked La Bacarazza (sp?) for my guests following my wedding day. I customized it to what I want. I even added on hours. Part of my bookings is I want people to be able to get off the boat and get in the water...we make two stops for swimming/water time. One is a stop at a "hot springs??" and the other is snorkling. They provide the snorkling equipment for $10 per person. You can have snacks and drinks instead of a full meal....touch base with them ....they are easy to work with.
  19. Ladies....I just read a review on Trip Advisor from a bride who indicated the wedding and Awilda were awesome! She did say though that Awilda is leaving...Has anyone had recent contact with a Wedding Planner/Awilda?
  20. Wow Sandra...awesome pics. Thnaks for providing so much detail...glad you had a blast! Everything looks fabulous...your guests must have been thrilled! Good job girl!
