I guess you gotta be careful when you throw it :) Wouldn't want to give someone a concussion!!!
  2. Related Question - are you ladies getting a stand for the sign? Or will it just be on the cover of the album? Or nearby on the table?
  3. BeachBride - I will totally steal that if you don't mind!!! So beautiful!!! We need a Spanish translation as well since 1/2 of our guests are coming from South America. We are doing everything dual language!
  4. I've never heard of a TTD session before joining this forum either! I will have to look for pictures and examples before I can figure out whether we would want to do it.. I'm sure my fiance has never heard of it as well.
  5. I haven't thought this far ahead but hole punch with ribbon sounds perfectly easy and pretty! Do I need to bring a hole puncher to the island as well? LOL. Sheeeesh.
  6. Ladies, you are simply amazing! My shower is next weekend and I haven't even thought of getting my sister and Mom who are hosting a gift. Will definitely take care of it this weekend. Love the body wash idea Always useful and in many cases yummy smelling!
  7. We definitely want a videographer and are considering quotes. What are you asking your videographer to record?? - obviously ceremony - dinner?? - dancing!!! - toasts - personal messages from guests. Are you having your videographer stay until the very end? I got a quote that is not too expensive so I'm considering keeping him for the whole 5 hours but he for some reason suggested just 2 hours which would just include ceremony and dinner. From my experience, the dancing/toasts come later than 2 hours into the wedding. What do you ladies think
  8. I don't think it will look stupid at all (btw, LOVE that hairdo). The pictures that Krista posted look beautiful. I also like the idea of wearing your hair down for the veil and then gently making a side pony tail for the reception where you won't wear the veil. It will make his Mom happy, it's such a small issue that I would not risk hurting her feelings even the slightest bit on what's supposed to be such a happy day. Unless you REALLY can't stand the veil My dress has a "fancy" back as well so I plan to take the veil off for the reception and especially when I'm dancing so it doesn't get into people's faces!
  9. I've seen those places in the mall and was just so weary about letting them mess with my teeth. I actually went to my dentist and had custom trays made as well as prescription whitening gel. I only started using it recently but it is working already and I don't have to worry about being scammed. The whole thing was probably $500 or so, mostly due to the cost of making custom trays. It is scary how some places are able to run a "business" when they are scammers and are not qualified for the job!
  10. Very nice! I'm sure the girls will appreciate the fact that they will be able to wear it again! Love the color.
  11. Once again, agree with Christina. That's exactly what I would do. Have the kids be in the bridal party but have your parents walk you down the aisle. That way everyone is included and happy
  12. Hey ladies, I've seen this item - Pre-departure Brochure and Meet the Guest Page - but don't know what it actually is. I've never seen it at any of the weddings. Can someone please tell me what would go into the pre-departure brochure and how to get it to the guests. Also, I love the meet the Guests idea and I have that on my website but I doubt many people are going there to look.... What ideas do you have for Meet the Guests
  13. I would give her the gift bag. I imagine that it is not very expensive and a nice gesture goes a long way
  14. Yay for May brides!!! Coming up really soon! Any of you ladies nervous? I'm definitely excited but there is also quite a bit of pressure since I haven't even visited our resort! I pray that the food tastes good

Hole puncher haha. Might actually work! Thanks for the link!

My hair is wavy so I'm not worried about the curls dropping but I also don't want any frizz going on from the strands being blown out... Eva Longoria's hair is always unbelievable. I should just look at all of her pictures from the red carpet and pick since we have similar type hair (hers is MUCH better though).

I also would like to have a flower in my hair, just not sure what kind yet. I LOVE this one and I have similar hair length and color. My only concern is putting the veil and the little headpiece on.. Good choices though!!
  18. I gave this a lot of thought and ended up going with Apple Red (look at the rose on the banner at the bottom of the page with Get Married in LA). My favorite color is blue but since everything around us will be blue (ocean, sky), I wanted something that would pop. I was a little concerned that blues would just fade into the background of the scenery. The girls loved the color so I am sure that it will look great.
  19. It is definitely more than I was planning to spend but it looks like photographer will be about $1800 (5 hrs) and videographer will be $700 (2 hrs). The videographer's additional charges are $150/hr after the initial two hours are up so we might ask him to stay since we want video of the party rather than everyone eating
  20. Very very cute! Let us know regarding the quality for sure. Also, where did you ladies get the printed name tags for the bags?? How will you tie them to the bag?
  21. Glad you were able to find a solution that you are happy with. And don't worry about who will think what about your Grandpa walking you down the aisle. I think it is very sweet!
  22. I don't know what the right answer it "etiquette"-wise but I did that for my wedding. I, too, sent out Save the Dates and knew that some people wouldn't come but I sent the invitation anyway, just to let them know that I thought about them and for them to have the invitation as a souvenir. My Mom, however, insisted that it was rude to invite people knowing that they can't come, but I think it's worse to NOT invite them. The cost for additional invitations are so minimal that I just don't see why not send the invitations to everyone that you want at your wedding.
