I would book it....pretty much YESTERDAY or if not possible (hehe!), then as soon as possible. I find that you need to book the exact wedding date first because you can do pretty much anything, such as getting travel quotes and putting down deposits for things like photographers (good ones get booked up to and over 1 year in advance)...

Yay, they finally confirmed my date!! Actually, the WC just confirmed she received the payment so I wrote her back so she can put in writing that my DATE is confirmed. Lol. Anyway.... I took a quick look at the packages and think we will go with either the Aqua or Chill Out as the others do not include a reception dinner, which for me is sort of the main "event" aside from the brief ceremony. Not sure which I'd rather go with, though.... Did you ladies compare the Aqua and Chill Out? Difference is just $300 (although $10 more per extra guest) but I'm not sure if it's worth it or not?..... I also find that calculator very confusing. It's so vague!!

I was having the hardest time so what I finally used was three criterias: 1) How many restaurants/bars and activities did the place have? (for me, more the better as there will be guests of varying ages, tastes, interests...) 2) How much of a "deal" were the packages for group rates? (i chose PPC because the group rate vs individual rate was much more discounted than with the other resorts i picked) 3) How much did I like the look of the resort? When I finally found 3 that tied, I asked my fiance to pick one of tem. I have to be honest, though. I'm sort of regretting my decision. If you check tripadvisor, my resort has a lot of negative reviews. I think partly because it is an expensive resort and people expect more than they would with a cheaper one but I have been getting the impression that their customer service is lacking. Unfortunately, we've already sent them the deposit to save our date.... So my advice is...once you have narrowed down to about 3 resorts, contact the wedding and regular customer service departments at least a few times with random questions as a test. You may find one is much more responsive than another. The other two resorts were much more responsive so now I regret not going with one of them now.

We went with blue and brown. However, I am having THE HARDEST time with the blue! I wanted a beachy blue - I bought pashminas that are a light turquoise, but all the invitations I like are sea glass (light greenish blue) or tiffany blue, all the inspiration boards I like are peacock blue, etc. Lol! I'm going to end up with chocolate brown and a gazillion different blues!

I use makeup brush cleaner. I used to use soap and water but I found that sometimes the soap leaves a residue and doesn't work that well

I weight myself this morning but didn't take a pic as I was running late. Will take one tomorrow morning. So far I'm up a pound for this week but I did lose a nice bit last week so I'm still happy. Gotta remember to tone down on the carbs at the Toronto girls get together tonight. Lol!!

^ Lol! Like someone said, how they are as a photographer should be more important than their gender but I have to admit, I would feel more comfortable if it was a female-only environment. I fear I may not act as naturally in my skivvies or in the nude around a man just because it's something out of the ordinary and my worries would be that my photos may turn out unnatural. Then again, if they are a good photographer, they should be able to help you get out of that mentality

Most likely he'll pay for his and I'll pay for mine. The price of my wedding band will probably be several times his (as I want diamonds on it) so I think it's only fair that I pay for mine, he pays for his. If we had both bought plain bands, I would say we'd pay for it collectively.
