I contacted Apple Vacations today and they told me it wouldnt be until June or July until they have packages out for January 2011..ah!!! I will keep checking other sites , worse comes to worse I keep putting my date on hold I suppose?? We will see I just would hate to lose my place in line

Hello- To those of you getting married in 2011, have you booked your hotel/flights yet?? I Just reserved my date with Victoria (wedding coordniator) at the Palace, and now we have 'two months to send booking information', otherwise we lose our date I cannot seem to find anyplace that has packages/rates for 2011, am I missing something?? Thanks for the help! Happy planning

I have just recently decided on Barcelo Maya Palace for my wedding, and this is such an asset Thanks to all who have posted good info/pictures. I am getting married January 2011 (date not set yet), I just requested the callback on the Barcelo website a few days ago...no response yet. I will call directly soon so I can reserve a date. I am sure they are SWAMPED right now and are unable to call Any suggestions on this? Also- did any of you go through outside agents like destinationweddings.com? I am considering booking on my own through Apple Vacations (I have used them in the past, and was pleased) . Can I just book the wedding directly with the Barcelo coordinator? I am new to the BDWF, and I keep coming up with the same question in all my research..I have heard that many DW locations take a LONG time to get newly weds their 'official' marriage documents after the wedding. Is this rumor true? does it really take a long time to actually be legally married in the US when you get 'married' in Jamaica..or Mexico? Any opinions/past experiences would be great...Thanks!

Hi Everyone..I am a newbie, recently engaged. I am a little confused on the process. are you actually legally married by the Jamiaican terms? I always thought these kinds of weddings meant you really are there just for the ceremony, all your official docs are done back home in the US/etc?

I too am considering Jamaica...I went there 2yrs ago for vacation and it is gorgeous!!
