  1. Here is Mike's Ring: It is 1/2 carat diamonds in a tungsten band. It's called the "tungsten triton" from Kay Jewelers. I think it cost $899 but we bought it on sale for around $650.

Please do share! That would give me such a better idea of what to do!
  3. Good. It seems like it just makes things so much easier that way!

I feel like we are going to need so much cash that day. We are trying to pay all of our vendors that we can in advance so that all we have to worry about is tip on the wedding day. Now this is getting off subject of the trio but I'm curious...did you convert cash to pesos or just pay with american money?

Everything about your wedding looked perfect. Just seemed so fun and breezy. I like the idea of just doing a single instrument during the ceremony better I think than having all three play. All three would be a little overwhelming down the isle I think. or it could be nice. It's so hard to know in advance! Did you girls play traditional down the isle music or something different?? Thank you all for your input! I love how helpful everyone on this site is
  7. I got my OOT bags as well as Bridesmaid and Groomsmen gift bags online at Exclusively Weddings. Festive Wedding Weekend Bags in White and Silver They come in packs of 10 for $29.95 and I thought they were cuter than just a paper bag but less expensive than a tote. Then I designed a logo (the one on my signature below) in photoshop and I am going to take ribbon and tie the logo onto the handle like a tag. Good luck finding what you're looking for!!
  8. I keep trying to find threads on here specific to the Mexican Trios and I haven't come across anything that really helps me even when I look at girls wedding reviews so I am going to post a new thread. I am getting married with a wedding package that includes 1 set with a Mexican Trio. My thoughts are to have the trio there with a guitar, bass and violin for the ceremony and cocktail hour only then to switch to the iPod after that to save money (also because I think my guests would prefer to dance to iPod music rather than the trio). For those of you who had the mexican trio at your wedding...what are your thoughts? Did you like them? What did your guests think? How did you feel about them playing while you walked down the isle? Anything you can share would be a big help! I'm just starting to wonder with a smaller group (20 or so) if its even worth having them there. Thanks
  9. I guess if you just pour it all in at once you can't really mess it up anyway because it won't have a pattern to it really. I got a vase with a cork but I think once I get home we will just redo it so it's nice with each layer a different color. We will have three colors because we have children so I have to figure out how to handle the pouring at the ceremony. Maybe we will each just pour one layer for pics and call it done.
  10. Two questions: 1. Do you actually fill the whole thing during the ceremony? or do you just do a little bit for the pictures..? 2. Do each of us do one layer (like I pour and then he pours)...or do we do one layer with both pouring in at the same time, and then go on with alternating the colors?? I was thinking about just doing a little bit for the pictures, then dumping it out and redoing it when I get home.
  11. I like the idea of the box. I did mine in a little mesh bag and it makes it hard because I couldnt fit as much as I wanted in there!
  12. Here are a couple of my inspiration pictures: I want pink and orange with gerber daisies, roses and lilies.
  13. My Fiance and I are paying for most of our wedding PARTY. The guests that come are paying for themselves. It's their choice to come and if people can afford to join us then we are doing lots of nice things for them while they are there (sunset cruise, brunch, gift bags, etc) to show we appreciate they came. With the economy so tight we know most people won't make it and we aren't offended either way. We only gave 6 months notice and most of our wedding party is tight on money right now so to have them there we are having to cover a lot of that cost. We have MOH (my sister so my dad is paying for her) three BM's and three groomsmen (the third is his brother and is paying for himself) that we are paying for. Most all of them are single so it makes it easy. We are buying plane tickets for everyone and then one of the groomsmen had a timeshare that sleeps 6 people so he rented that for a week and it was only $900 and all of them can stay there together! So total we are only spending an extra $3k or so for all of our wedding party to be there. If you have it in the budget, and you feel that you really want them there, i'd say it's way worth it.
  14. Welcome and congrats! Im getting married at the Dreams Los Cabos also and this forum has helped me get all of my planning straight! The girls are all so helpful!
  15. I have been working with Rosio over at Florenta and she is great! We've done everything over email and im so pleased with the examples shes showed me and I thought the pricing was really reasonable. I can't WAIT to see my actual flowers!!
  16. Everything looks like it turned out great!! It's all so pretty! congrats
  17. that website is great for EVERYTHING! not just the flower jewelry and their prices are really decent. thanks for sharing!
  18. I love yours! I am looking for something just like that. Did you have to meet with her or did you just do it over email or online?
  19. I want to make a logo to put on our menu and thank you tags and all of our personalized stuff. I noticed that a lot of you girls have logos that say your name and date on them. Where are some of the places I can look to design one and have it printed on different things?? Thank you!
  20. I will check out Michaels. I am now all excited about the thought of making them myself though! It will be waaayy cheaper and really easy! I'm excited I will post a picture once I get them done.

That would be such a neat thing for a wedding!!
  22. I think if you are LEGALLY married in Mexico (with the blood test and judge) then you are legally married everywhere. I think as long as you have a certificate that's all you need...but I may be wrong? It is wierd. I wonder how the government here knows if you don't have to record it?
