i've ran into the same problem since my family live in ontario and FI and i live in calgary it wasn't fare to pick either of those places. so i've been telling people either way it would cost them at least $600 round trip to either places plus hotel and food so why not just do an all-inclusive. i normally go more into detail with people that ask. in the end i normally win them over but i still haven't with my mother inlaw LOL!!!!!

hi all, so i'm not sure what to do. i'm planning on sending out save the dates so i have been looking around for luggage tags that i can use to put them in so my guest can use them for the trip. not sure if it will be easier to make them look like luggage tags instead to save money and forget giving real tags to my guest. i still have a few months to go but my FI is no help he thinks there both great so i need your help!!!!! jen

i am not personally having one but i know my MOH will have one in my hometown and my aunt is having one where i live now!!!! you shouldn't have to worry about the bridal shower it is your moh responsiblilty or someone in your family and they will do all the inviting but you can put your input in on who should or shouldn't be invited. i know that we are going to regester somewhere just cause our italian side said we had to but i don't expect to get everything we asked for. don't worry to much about it!!!

thanks ladies for the advice!!! i do the same as patti's FI and bring them to the womans shelter or the homeless shelter. not sure if i will use them but if i do i will put my own labels on them.

so i'm an flight attendant and i stay in nice hotels all the time and never us the soap, shampoo or body cream. just wondering if anyone thinks it is tacky of me to take them and put them in my oot bags?

thanks ladies!!! somy mom has talked to her and said that she would like to keep the sending to as less as possible since my mom and dad do have to pay $400 dollars to come to calgary . my mom has also suggested to make as much things at home and she is more then willing to do that instead of platters already made. i also think it should come out of her wallet if she wants to have it. my fi has said he'll pay for it if it comes down to it. i said there is no way were doing that since we don't even really want the party and it was her idea.

We just moved outside of calgary last winter - do you know where Didsbury is? hey jennybell, sorry i haven't gotten back sooner but i'm a FA for westjet so i'm on the road alot!!! i live about 2 mins from downtown in the nw. not really sure where you live but i as my fi and he knows where it is!!! i am going to have to look at that Sando's resort!!! next week i'm going to ontario to visit my fam and try on bridesmaids dresses for my friend who is getting married next year so i thought i might go see some travel agents i know there just to get an idea. i think for our honeymoon were going to go to an adults only and i think we like one of the karisma hotels. still not sure but we don't want any kids around and my fi said he will pay whatever for our honeymoon but just for the wedding we are trying to put a buget on it for our guests. when i get some info on the rui's i will let you know!!!

so i got in engaged in august and we've decided to get married feb 2011. we also decided that if we were going to have an engagement party we were going to do it next summer. my sister in-law has taken it apon herself to have an engagement party only giving our guest about a months notice. normally that would be fine but the problem is that my family and friends live in ontario and my fi and i and all of his family live in calgary. what really makes me angry is that my sister in-law has the nerve to ask my mom to pay for half of the party. i am so mad since she is inviting about 50 people and out of that 50 i only have about 8 people coming for me!!!! the problem with this whole thing is that i'm not allowed to know about her asking my mom to pay.... i am so mad since my parents first have to pay to fly out and then she has the nerve to ask my mom to pay since it is her party she is hosting!!! sorry just needed to vent!!!!
