well if wanna do the 1st dance and entrance I guess just make it a point to say on the invite that it starts at a certain time. That way, maybe 20-30 minutes after you can make ur entrance! I would make sure you have drinks and pictures keeping the guests busy till u make ur entrance tho.

I just think its important to do it sooner with DW because its costs alot of money and they need to book flight & stay in advance, especially if they want to get early booking rates from our TA! Thats why I want to send my invites out 6 months in advance. I sent out our STDs before xmas with our wedding website but we haven't had too many hits from it sooo I guess its just making me paranoid!

if your inviting that many people and your scared of too many of them actually coming, you might just want to invite immediate fam and friends and have a reception when u get home and invite everyone! but you know ur people, is pretty easy to tell who will come out of the bunch!

I feel lost in deciding when to put my "rvsp by____" time! I think its important with a destination wedding that you need a lil more of a notice than with typical weddings. Even with sending out the invites! I'd rather send them out 7 mths prior than 4 months prior! So, my question is, how many months prior are you having your guests rsvp?

we are staying a week at the resort and another week and half traveling the island as part of our honeymoon ;-) so that will be our "alone time"

i went to punta cana last year and didnt take anything and was fine. even traveled the island a lil bit after. i am dominican so maybe im a lil immune hahaha, but we were with other "gringo's" and noone got sick :-)

SO this might be a weird way of doing it but I used a template off of Words brochure templates. So, I had to do a lot of "cutting" and arranging, hahaha! You go to file, then theres folders with all diff types of templates, so i went to brochures, then I chose the "General consulting Business brochure". I wasn't able to download the templates people would leave on here cus Im a noob, so thats why i resorted to these. I liked it because the margins were set for me already so when I uploaded it to vista print everything seemed in place when it would be folded. Y

Thanks for being so helpful with all this information! I was wondering why you were back so soon!! So how long did you end up staying? I just made a note to ask our FOR SURE guests how long they plan to stay so I dont feel like i dont have time for them. But we're pretty sure we're staying a whole week. SO thanks for that advice!

Has anyone heard of this website? The designer on there is AMAZING! Her designs are exactly how I want my invites to be! I want to make my own invitations but finding that textured paper at your local Michaels is impossible! Anyways, she sells the supplies to do it yourself! She has this basketweave sort of beach textured paper in pocketfolds! Its amazing so I thought I'd share the website! I'm thinking of ordering these, the squarepocketfold with no flap, in brown bamboo. Although they might get out of my price range :-( Wedding Invitations Pocket and Unique Pocket Fold Supplies If anyone knows how to do this yourself, even just the paper w/out the fold, PLEASE SHARE! OMg those shoes are amazing! Good find! I think im going with Victorias Secret convertible dress in diff colors so each BM can wear the dress however they feel more comfortable in. Which is pretty affordable and they can wear it again!
