Just going to get a dressy pair of flip flops but my bridesmaids and groomsmen will be barefoot..... Its just so im a little taller and my dress drags less. I love being barefoot and our wedding is at 5pm so it wont be hot put that into consideration

You definately want to register because we have tons of people that want to get us a gift that cant afford to go to mexico. Though the ones that are booked were told not to get us gifts because their gift is vacationing with us which means more to us. Though some are still giving us gifts anyway.

If you really dont want them there then explain your reasoning to your brother in law. Also talk it over with your mother in law before you talk to him. This way you have her input on how she feels about it. Even if you do say no they can still book seprate if they wanted to. Its a hard situation that he put you in but atleast they asked. Hopefully there is no drama for you guys its your wedding and you deserve sanity and no drama.

I went through the same ordeal when I started planning the wedding because I have traveled many places and we knew other places may be more beautiful but chose Mexico. This is cheaper, shorter flight and you can have a free ceremony and have excursions inluded in the price. Along with that there are pools, swim up bars and a club for the adults. The resport is awesome looking and two of my family members went there and said it was the best vacation because they cater to your needs. We are getting married on the beach but you can also do the gazebo which over looks the ocean. Either way its nice and we are getting more for our money through this resort. They say the beach water has some seaweed in it but if that doesnt bother you its still nice. Good luck. Just remember some people may complain about having to travel but its your day! I would ask her because it gives her the chance to decide her finances but also make your other BM's aware so they can try and help her out with the shower and all. I was just in a wedding and the one girl was outta work and just had twins that were in intensive care for most of the planning. Though she stayed strong and helped where she could. We actually became great friends! Money is just an object but friendship is irreplacable.

I knew my fiance had the ring because I picked it out and saw the statements because I am the one that does the bills and all. You think he wouldve sent it to someone elses house. Though I didnt know it was in the house for months and months. I had my fathers side over for Christmas eve dinner and every year around 9pm all his friends come over for a huge bash. here while I was doing dishes to get ready for the party he asked my fathers permission. He asked me to come in the living room and all I wanted to do was clean up (not knowing it was to get engaged). My whole family surrounded the room and he said I want to give you your christmas gift and got on one knee and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him. I stood there in shock and my dad said Kris are you gonna answer him. I said yes and looked at my sister and she was crying so I started. It was perfect that my grandmother and siblings were able to see it. Then five minutes later the house filled with tons of friends and all of them found out word of mouth. So it was awesome to share it with the closest people. Though the funniest part is my fiance told me he thought he was going to pass out asking me. And then christmas day we had to tell my moms side and he was a nervous wreck. It was funny watching him look green so we told them sooner.

Im sure youll be fine especially since its not summertime your going. Just take bug spray and you should be good! In jamica I didnt have any problems its more for excursions

Getting married isnt as easy as it looks you will have good and bad days but in the end never go to bed mad at each other. The marriage planning is very stressful and I thought having a destination wedding would limit my stress but I was wrong. I had so many people complain that they had to pay and that they wouldnt be able to see us get married. We then changed our minds to do it at the shore but it wasnt what we wanted. After months of agony from people my fiance and I just said forget it were doing moon palace in mexico. We booked it a day later and people can deal its not there wedding. In the planning process youll have to make many decisions just go with your first instinct. You dont want to fear marriage as long as both of you have an understanding of what you want in life you shold do well. Many marriages do fall apart today but they stop trying. Keep your head up high you can do it and you have plenty of time to plan.

For my thanks you cards I am going to use a picture of the two of us which you can make a cute thank you through shutterfly and write your thank you on the back its cheaper than regular thank you cards and its more personalized. I know im good at throwing thank yous out but the pics I keep. I rather make everything useful. Just an idea

We are sending our invites out this month and our wedding is in June 2010 as well. Its stinks because you need to get the booking info out but we are having a reception back home and that is almost a year away. Seven months def is enough time the earlier the better
