    I have always given both a shower and a wedding gift (even if I wasn't able to attend both) I have never heard of only one, but since you are having an AHR, they might just bge waiting until then.

    I was in the same sort of spot- one of my bridesmaid's isn't in a great financial position-when I asked her I told her I would love for her to be with us, BUT I completely understood if she couldn't make it, it was up to her to decide. I didn't want her to feel like she had to put herself in a bad position, if she said yes. Right now we are planning on her coming, but if it turns out she can't she knows I understand why.

    Hi All, We are going to be visiting a few resorts in a couple weeks to make a final decision on which resort we want to have our wedding at. Originally we were going to take taxi's to and from each resort, but I started thinking it might be easier to hire a car & driver for the day- does anyone have any recommendations? We are staying at Iberostar Paradiso Beach and are making appointments to see Moon Palace, Blue Bay Esmerelada, Paradisus and the new Dreams Riviera Cancun. Thanks! Tracy

    If you want a DW, then you should get it-- believe me I understand the finances part of it, but if your MOH can't afford the hotel you are having your wedding at, is there another hotel close by that would be less expensive, or instead of her going for a week, could she do a shorter amount of time (long weekend maybe)?     I think what you are doing sounds perfect- nothing says you HAVE to do anything- if it's not you, don't do it! Have a wonderful time!

    Good Luck with your scouting trip! We have a trip planned in early October to visit a few resorts-- do you have a list of questions for the resorts already- if so, would you be willing to share it? I am trying to compile a list of questions to ask each place and I am sure I am forgetting something! Thanks! Tracy

    It's good that everyone appears to be released unharmed. But, I know how you feel-- I am now expecting a call from FI's family worried about this..... oh well, just one more thing to deal with. At least you have time to calm them down! Tracy

    Depending on how much the total of the package is, and if it is airfare and hotel-- $300 is right in line with what we have paid before.
