Montego Bay: I didn't find any others that seemed decent, that were not all-inclusives. I didn't really want to do MoBay, so I didn't really focus a search there. You may be able to find others. Ocho Rios: Jamaica Inn Goldeneye Resort The Blue House (B&B, not on beach) Falmouth: Starfish Trelawny - this is an all-inclusive, but we have been there and the food is amazing, and the entertainment is great. There is no 50% rule. Weedings are $350. Day passes are only $50 per adult, and $30 per child. Private receptions run $35-85 per person. Runaway Bay: Breezes Runaway Bay - All inclusive, no 50% rule. $65 day pass The majority of the rest are all inclusives w/high day pass fees.

Ok Ladies, So I know there have been many threads discussing this topic, but I would like to get a summary of how many brides have registered or not, and whether you wish had if you didn't. I personally debated on this topic, and after ready many threads on this decided to do a small registry.

Props to you on saving so much! I feel your pain though, it seems like as soon as you feel you are in a good place financially, one thing after another comes up. That is ALWAYS frustrating! Look on the bright side though, as dolcegirl said, it's not on credit, so your not in debt. And, at least you are in a position to be able to do all those things. Can you imagine the stress of all those weddings and parties if you didn't have the money saved up? Just have fun at all your upcoming events and don't look at your bank statements, LOL

Ok, so here's the situation... I used to be a teacher in a very small school, (approx 150 kids) and was pretty close friends with most of the other teachers. This school year, in September, I moved from the JH to HS (it's actually right next door & I am now the guidance counselor). I remained close friends with only a few of the teachers at my old school. So, I mailed out my invites this week, and I only invited those people who I am still close with. Due to some Facebook comments about how cute my invites were (thanks to BDW ladies templates), I guess some people realized they were not invited, because they didn't get one. There is now someone who was not invited giving me attitude! (I am subbing for a friend in summer school, so I saw her this morning). If I have not spoken to you in 8 months am I seriously supposed to invite you to my wedding?! I guess when you are in a small school, stuff like that happens, but it is frustrating. It's not like she would come anyway. Half of me says to be politically correct I should just have invited everyone I used to friends with, but that should not be necessary. It's not like I invited everyone but her. I invited only 5 people out of 10. Those 5 are people I talk to everyday. Why would I invite someone that I do not talk to anymore? It is so irritating that people act like that!!!

Let me know if you have questions about these or other venues. Hope this helps as a starting point.
