  1. Joann, love the dress, it's beautiful!! I'm usually a fan of the sweetheart neckline, but I really like this one as is. I think it 'fits' with the look of the dress. And 6 months to go...gee, I remember thinking before I had all the time in the world...my TA told me today that deposits for flights by July 15th would probably be best! Guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend (finishing the invites!)
  2. I'm hoping to get my invites started this weekend. Hopefully my old printer can handle it!
  3. Amazing!!! You look absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the details, and CONGRATS!!!!
  4. Erin and Prettyhazardous, both of your dresses are great! I posted a picture of mine on a different thread, but here it is again. It's La Sposa, fanal style in gold (although it's not as gold as in the picture) Most of my major details are done, now it's just the small stuff, which seems to be more time consuming! And reading this forum everyday just gives me more ideas!
  5. Great review! I am excited to see the pictures. One question, flowers - which bouqet did you go with and was it close to the pictures on the Lomas site?
  6. Umm, yes, I am addicted! I will start to play, tell myself, just one more, and play until my eyes are so dry from not blinking that I'm surprised they're not bleeding!! So you are not alone!
  7. That is so great! Congratulations! Glad to see you could make the best of the situation! And I love all the little piggies
  8. I'm with MegaShay, I'm sending them out (hopefully) at the beginning of June with a September 1 RSVP deadline. That still leaves some room for the slow pokes before I have to have my final numbers in. On a different note, I got my TTD dress today! I bought it from a fellow BDW bride, milejilo. It's great! Time is flying! When we got engaged in January, it felt like forever until November! Now, it's just over 6 months!!!
  9. Congratulations! Can't wait to see more (especially since I'm an EDR Bride too)
  10. Congratulations, and welcome to the forum. I got engaged at EDSS in January, and the resort was fabulous! It's the resort we decided to have our wedding at another El Dorado resort. You have made a great choice!
  11. Amazing!! Thanks for posting all the details and the pictures. Everything looks fantastic! Congratulations!
  12. I just ordered a set for me and a set for my sister, who is my MOH. What a great idea!
  13. We are also getting married in November, and planning a casual summer BBQ. I realize that it's a long time in between (living in Saskatchewan, it could be June or July) but that's fine with us. We want to keep it as a fun casual event, so if it turns out more like a party and less like a 'reception', even better!
  14. grr, change again!!! Now that they have the new colors listed! I will change quantity too (please don't shoot me!!) 15 PA3 (cream) 15 PA7 (chocolate) I swear, I'm done changing it now. I also like the idea of sending as a gift to Canada, definitely makes a difference duty wise Thanks again!!

I spoke with a lady who climbed the trail with her daughter and she said that she wasn't very impressed. If you can, travel to Aguas Calientes the day before, that way you can get to MP bright and early!
  17. Hi there I was in Peru one year ago, and it was unbelievably wonderful. The only bad part about my trip was that I was only there for a week. The altitude was something I was worried about before I left. The day I got there I had a few dizzy spells, but other than that, I was fine. My mom it affected alittle more. Regardless of your level of physical fitness, you will huff and puff more than usual. We went to Machu Picchu towards the end of my trip so that we would have a few days to acclimatize to the altitude if necessary. Altitude or not, it will take your breath away! If you are worried about it, give yourself a few extra days, or talk to your doctor. I know my mom brought along a prescription that is suppose to help with the altitude. Or you can partake of the local cure - mate de coca. If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me and I will help you out if I can!
  18. Another November bride! Congrats, and welcome to the forum!
  19. Congratulations, and welcome!
  20. Here is mine It not as quite as gold as it looks in the picture
  21. Hello, and welcome! I, too, am a November bride. I'm not worrying about the flu at all. While it may be a cause for concern, it's not a cause for panic, and I'm optimistic that by November it will be a distant memory! As for kid friendly resorts, I've only ever been to an adults-only resort, El Dorado Seaside which is part of the Karisma chain. They do have a few family friendly resorts called Azul Beach and Azul Sensatori. If the service is the same at the Azul resorts as it was at the El Dorado resorts, you would have nothing to worry about! Good luck and happy planning!
  22. I love the show! And I'm so glad that I have a PVR now cuz given the choice betweening going out on a Friday night or staying home to watch "Say Yes to the Dress", sometimes, it was a tough call!
  23. Can you check to see if they can switch you to a different airline? I know that the Canadian airlines and charter companies have quit flying into most of Mexico until the beginning of June, but I haven't heard about cancellations that far ahead. Good luck
