I really highly recommend the Adventure Tour with Vallarta Adventures. It's AMAZINGLY well put together, with many adventure elements included for one price-- horseback ride up mountain, zip-line, some minor hiking and you even get to rappel down a water fall! Amazing, and well priced.
  2. Hey Smith, Not only will the Malecon be amazing during Del dia de los Muertos (D of Dead) but it will be CRAZY insane with locals. I think you've lucked out with one of the best weekends to be down in Mexico. It's an amazing three day festival, I'd recommend wikipedia-ing it, as there are probably a few days of celebrations you and your guests could enjoy! exciting!
  3. Bridget, I would recommend going with a wedge flip flop. Then you get comfort and cute, tall, slimming, etc. You can find them almost anywhere, and Victoria's Secret actually sells cute ones for cheap.
  4. Hey girls, Someone within the forum posted this link: Secret Wedding Songs and it helped me and FI come up with some great lists!
  5. Hey Kathy, Thanks for the heads up, that's a really good call. I never considered the volume issue. Now, with that in mind, do you think its best to go with the DJ they offer, or try and find one in town? $400 for the entire evening seems minimal... Thanks a million for the advice. We are renting the sound system for the ceremony anyway, and Rebeca said that the resort would provide someone to control it for us. So hopefully that covers the ceremony part. *fingers crossed*

  7. Awesome, thanks Latin hunny, you're a doll. I'm trying to learn about all of these arrangements. I'm thinking I'll be a pro by the end of it. lol
  8. Oh my Gosh, Jenn I can't believe it's here in two weeks! You must be just bursting! I can't wait to hear all about it!

You guys probably think Im crazy Kris, I think that is a GREAT idea! It's cute and meaningful.I don't think the aisle walk needs to be traditional, it just needs to capture what you two are as a couple. Something that will make both of you smile! Sidebar: I love your pups name!So cute!

  13. Wow, Lisa! I love love love that little dress. I'm definitely going to check out that option. Gracie will look adorable in that! Jacilynda-- Thanks for the heads up about shipping options. You ladies are all so fabulous!
  14. Hey Cathy, Congrats and welcome. I am a newbie too-- although I guess i've earned my jr. YAY I'm going to donate some of my points to you, so that you can open up a few of the pdf files. It really held me back initially. Hope it helps you get a quick start on things! Cheers!

  16. Mine was $1100, and my FIs will likely be in th $500 range -- doesn't seem fair does it? lol I think it's very different for everyone, depending on the style of the engagement ring, etc. Might I suggest Ebay for the men's ring? Great deals on great quality. If you're in doubt, ask a jeweler about the specs.
  17. Hey Royal Lady, Sounds like a sticky predicament, my FI and I had a similar issue-- but it was distant friends as opposed to distant relatives. We just reiterated how important it was for us to keep things small, and then extended an invite to the AHR. For the most part, people are quite understanding. Besides, if you haven't spoken with them in three years, they'd be silly to think they'd be welcome-- especially for an extended time at the resort for your special weeks away.
  18. I suggest Michaels-- I don't know if these exist in the states, but they do ordering online (Michaels.com) they carry Peacock feathers all year round. And they're reasonably priced because it's a big box craft store.
  19. I like the second last one too! I think you did a great job, and you have a lot of time to be excited!

If she's smaller than 2T you could see if a bridal store could alter the dress to fit her, maybe? The other option would be to check dept stores like Dillards and macys always have really cute formal dresses for little girls. Thanks for the suggestions Jacilynda! Unfortunately the magnificent entities of Macy's and Dillard's don't exist up here in Canada. I actually found a perfect one at Target for $20 that Issac Mizrahi designed. What I wouldn't give to have these stores up here...

  22. Hey Jaime! Congrats! I'm a Dreams bride too, and have heard nothing but amazing things from the other Dream brides. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you out at all. I can't wait to hear about your planning!
  23. I think washing them with Woolite should work. You can also get suede cleaner from Browns-- and I'm sure many other shoe places. I found that it helped with my brown Uggs.
  24. Hello All! I'm trying to find a great, comfortable and cool option for my 2 year old half-sister (I know, there's a BIG separation) My dress is "pearl" so closer to ivory than white, and I'd like for hers to be similar. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks a million!
