Also, now my FI thinks that I shouldn't use it now since it was on American Idol last night! Rhonda, I think its up to you whether you want to do the same song for everyone, or a bridal party and then bride song. I'm going to be doing one for everyone-- and I think heading down to Jason Mraz sounds awesome. I think the whole "instrumental only thing" is silly.
  2. Hey All! Well all of these posts left me so inspired and excited, so my dad and I started talking about our ideas. He ended up suggesting the song "The face" by... I can't remember. lol Anyway, it isn't very "daddy's Girl" which is perfect, because--although we are very close-- we aren't "daddy's little girl" close. Our relationship revolves very much around ideas, conversations, and life aspirations. So this song was perfect-- all about telling me he'll be there, whether I choose to take his advice or not. I'm so excited, and he seemed really pleased that I liked his choice. One more check on the list!
  3. Welcome to the forum! Its always nice to have fellow Albertans on here! Congrats!
  4. Hey Ladies, Well, I ordered a sample dress-- a black Hobo Maxi Dress-- off of Ebay (lol, maybe that was my first mistake) Anyway, I rec'd it today, and it is HORRIBLY ugly. Now I'm stuck. I want something simple, beautiful, preferably chiffon and black... If anyone has suggestions I would really, really appreciate it.
  5. Hey Jill! Yeah, I totally agree. Although it's a little less convenient, it is faaaar more economical to arrange a group meeting at an agreed upon restaurant. Something to note is that they cap the table size to 10ppl, so if you have more than that you will be split up. Other than that, it's definitely cheaper! Rebeca mentioned that the busiest times for the restaurants is between 6 and 8pm, usual dinner hours. I'd say, have a late lunch or little visit to the snack bar and then a lovely late dinner. That way you have a better chance of getting in as a big group.
  6. Nikki-- A frisbee is a genius idea!! Thank you so much for the suggestion, I'll be sure to run to Michaels ASAP Allie -- typically if you speak with your TA they can find maps and attraction breakdown for you and send them to you. However, my FI and I are heading down a week before everyone else, so I'm planning on grabbing them in town when we arrive. You could definitely speak with your WC and find out if they can send you one from the RIU. I'm sure she'd be happy to!

The few weddings I've been to have had live musicians, so it's not something I've ever really paid attention to :S That's a great question. I think it really depends on the length of "aisle" and amount of bridal party. I'd do a practice run. Ask your WC the length of the walk and then time it out with your bridal party. I'd say 4 - 5 minutes is sufficient as a loop, especially because it's an instrumental so you won't have to worry about cutting off words. I think it usual takes about an entire song for everyone to get up to the front...

Well, I'm afraid you've come a bit of a biased thread, it seems to me-- hopefully the girls won't mind my generalization-- that we are all soo pleased with the new WC and our experiences so far. I'd recommend chatting with some of the Los Cabos Dreams members too. Go through the reviews for both Dreams PV and Los Cabos and see which suits your needs better. I'm definitely a fan of PV, and a big pull back from Los Cabos is that the rip tide is dangerous for not-so-avid swimmers... of which I have several. I'm sure whichever you choose will be great!

That is the only thing I can figure in my mind as to why he would do that to Melissa. Blech! So wrong. Wow, this surely has caused a stir... if that is the case I'm soooo sad for everyone involved. Poor Melissa, I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that Reality Steve is wrong!
  10. I have to admit that the OOT bags were my first mission upon our decision to do a DW. It was sooo fun to get them together! We have 33 people attending, with a wide variety of age and interests, so here's out breakdown. I found different colored sand pails at Michaels for $0.50 in the summer, they each came with a little shovel-- they stack nicely and shouldn't be too hard to pack. Each bucket gets: Tums Starfish Wine Topper Little Beach themed magnet -- DIY will post in plan thread later Wish necklace for girls -- Colored thread (we chose purple) with a small shell that you make a wish on(bought in bulk for cheap) on it, tied into a knot and worn until the thread breaks from wear. When it breaks the wish is supposed to come true! (easy and cheap) Ceremony Bubbles "Just Married" Flip Flop keychains Individual Starbucks coffee packets-- for those that miss it while away. Two different sea scented candles with a match pack for each (dollar store) Individual Body Cream, Body wash sets Mini Hand Sanitizer -- really easy and really cheap from Superstore! Individual Scope Maps of Puerto Vallarta -- activities, excursions, attractions, shopping, etc. Itinerary Thank you postcard and nametag There's a few more goodies that I just can't remember, but that's pretty much the gist of it. Does anyone have any ideas for easy Men's additions? I have a lot of girly stuff, but am stumped for the guys. I was thinking some sort of inflatable sports toy... like a beach ball. I know it doesn't scream manly, but...

How are you going to break up with a girl on National TV and have her give you back her ring THEN with in five minutes but all up on another girl. Then they say there is another ATFR show where he thinks he proposes to Molly. Haha! Totally, the water sipping drove me nutty too. Interesting to see him spill the goods. Something tells me this "reality Steve" isn't going to be on the inside track for long if he keeps on spilling the big stuff. I'm going to be sooo pissed if this all goes down like he said, makes me ill to think he was secretly seeing Molly while engaged to Melissa.
  12. I've always been a fan of " A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. " ~Tenneva Jordan Because it sounds like my mom, lol. Here's a few more I like: "My mom is a neverending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune. " ~Graycie Harmon "Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible." ~ Marion C. Garretty I love those, and they are really simple-- not too deep, and yet so meaningful. Good Luck, I'm sure your mother will be thrilled with anything you prepare for her.

  14. Jenn, I love that song too! Sorry Nathaniel, I forgot how many helpful gentlemen are on this site also, lol. Thanks for the song and link!
  15. SPOILER ALERT: The following are links to reality-steve's Youtube post, "revealing" what he claims to be the finale results, etc. DO NOT WATCH THIS IF YOU WANT TO BE SUPRISED! For those of you that are antsy and impatient, this guy really seems to believe he's got the inside scoop... very interesting! 16. Whoa, Whoa, Whoa! That's nutty! I'm sooo excited. A pregnancy... ha! That would be iNSANE! Thanks for the reality gossip ladies, I'll be sure to TiVo next week!

Lol, hey Tyler's girl, it seems like you and I have similar intuition! However, side-note. On the elimination the other night they showed a clip of the car leaving with the "eliminated girl" in it, and it was DEFINITELY Molly's hair. I think they might film them all in the possible situations of elimination, proposal etc. and then mess with the rest of us. That Bachelor LOVEs to keep us on our toes. Can't wait to find out, I really hope it ends up being Melissa-- I wonder where she got her teeth whitened?

Sounds beautiful, but keep in mind it's a lot of wood winds, and might be difficult to hear against the crashing waves. Other than that, it's beautiful. Good Pick!
  19. We had been together a little under 4 years, and we will be married exactly 5 years to the day. So excited!

I'm pretty sure-- although not perfectly clear-- that the Dreams has actualy outlawed the use of fireworks at the resort. I would ask Rebeca about it the next time you're in contact. Bummer, I know...
  21. Hey All, I'm looking for a song for my dad and I to dance to in June. He isn't into country (sad, I know, I love it) and I'm very against bad 1970s music -- or anything that sounds like it. I'd really love something contemporary or funky, like a David Gray or Eva Cassidy. Any ideas?? Thanks a million in advance, you ladies always have so many great ideas!
