Zulma was very quick to respond to me today, she is so awesome! I won't have to worry about a minimum # of guest for a private reception, I am so so so happy right now! Even with my small group I can still have my beach reception! Woot!

Just wanted to check again and see if anyone had the samples they could send me? I can pay for shipping. If not that's cool, I will order them from the company, just didn't want to waste the extra money. Thanks!

Wow, This is surprising and sad to see. She was so helpful on this forum offering name in the sand pictures a while back. I was one of the brides that recieved one from her free of charge. It's too bad this has happened, I am so sorry. It must taint your happiest day memories and that is not cool. Thank you for the warning, hopefully this will help other brides. Wow that is a tough one! As a mom I understand your concern. My boys are only 6 and 9 and I can't imagine having them go away to summer camp let alone a trip with friends! But he is 18 and he is an adult and as much as you don't want him to go you probably should let him, in my opinion. You don't want him to resent you for not letting him express his independence. Can you have a talk with him and express you concerns? Is he responsible enough to listen and understand, if so then he is showing he is responsible enough to go. If not then maybe you are doing the right thing by saying No. From one mom to another, I know its never easy. I wish you all the best in making these hard decisions.

I emailed Zulma to ask my questions, but if anyone else knows about what you get with semi-private or specifics on minimum numbers let me know... in the mean time I will patiently wait for her to reply... in the meantime, onto suits and shoes!

I just read though the whole thread! Whew! I think I am going to try and convince FI to order a suit from here instead of him needing to see it in person. Does anyone still have the color swatches that I could buy from them? I am not sure what color to get, my dress is Ivory and my wedding colors are Chocolate brown and hot pink.. I wanted the guys in a lighter color but not clashing with my dress... I always assumed I would get them a "sandy" color. Also, I will do the custom fit and from the looks of it most people order the Classic fit for the pants. My question is, should you add inches anywhere? Ankles (so they aren't too tapered), waist, lengh shoulders? FI is really short and stocky and has larger biceps but doesn't have big legs. Sorry I was rambling... ok let me know if anyone has swatches I can buy! Thanks!

Ok so I have it in my head that I read somewhere that they now require a "minimum" number of guest in order to have a private reception. Can anyone confirm that for me and do you have any documentation? OUr wedding maybe smaller than anticipated but I still wanted a private reception, I was thinking they wouldn't let me, which is silly, wouldn't they want more money?

Unless I can find Chair sashes super cheap I am just going to pay for the ones at the resort, I think they were $3 a chair?

I don't think you can do this to us without posting pictures! Can't wait to see them!
