  1. Great!! Can't wait to hear how it goes! I really want to do this too! How long is it supposed to last?
  2. hmm... I'm always both intrigued by & skeptical of miracle machines promising us stuff. Here's a review I found Ab Rocket Review - Does the AbRocket Work
  3. What about one of these? Other Colors This one specifically looks similar to your FI's & comes in a ton of sizes Other Colors - - Baby tuxedos, boys tuxedos, infant tuxedos, toddler tuxedos, boys tuxedo shoes - Boys 5 Piece Olive Suit by Lito - Lito Amazon.com: Gino Formal Suit Set Khaki for Boys From Toddler to Teen: Clothing unfortunately it seems like they're all pretty expensive. And your FI is set on them wearing suits? What if they wore guayabera shirts & tan pants? They'd still have 'something goin on' & they'd be more comfortable! (though those can be pricey too) Infant and Children's Guayabera Shirts hope you guys find something soon!
  4. oooh! I'm really curious about zoom! If you don't mind me asking, how much does it cost?
  5. ooh, the recipes would be a great idea! wpsmith, I totally hear you -- love this work-out but I need to be more consistent with it too.
  6. That's wonderful!! congrats! And it seems like a perfect amount of people! Every time I see someone's post with the # of people booked, I think I must be doing something wrong. I think we have FI's parents booked and that's it (besides us). No one is booking & we sent out our invites over a month ago. ugh, people drive me nuts. sorry for the hijack there!
  7. Wow, I find that completely inappropriate & kind of morbid. I know your mom must be feeling stressed & she's probably trying to make it easy/convenient for everyone, but I think she's too close to it. And us BDW'ers are just the ones to offer some perspective. Maybe someone could set up an open-house in his former home, or at someone else's, the day after your reception or another time. I personally don't like the idea of having it the same weekend, but certainly not in the same day! It's bound to be an emotional experience and for those invited to the reception that aren't family, having that go on during the reception or at the reception hall will just be weird & uncomfortable. Regardless of who's paying for / hosting this reception, it is a celebration of you & your husband and you should have a say in what goes on during it. I hope you're able to talk with your mom about this & explain how you feel. Good luck!!
  8. OK, Kim, take a deep breath & back away from the bridal salon. First of all, in no way does dress #1 look like a hot mess! You're nutso! You look gorgeous in both! That said, I totally understand that you don't want to wear it. Hopefully the store can help you out with canceling or exchanging it (are they from the same store?). If not & you're stuck with it, try posting it here or oncewed or somewhere. If you feel like a bride & can see yourself marrying your honey in dress 2, then go for it. It really is beautiful. But, if you buy that one DO NOT keep looking! You're going to drive yourself crazy! or crazier! let us know how it goes!
  9. Yep, PV hands-down!! You have the benefit of having a wonderful city full of rich culture & warm people, plus all of the things Jess mentioned. Of course there are tourists & if people choose to just stay at the resort it won't matter much, but you'll get more of a true Mexico feel/experience, I think anyway, in PV if you venture off the resort & go exploring. One thing about some of the beaches in PV, in the hotel area or near the marina they tend to be a little more rocky. We'll be farther south, at Dreams, so hopefully it'll be smoother - they're said to have one of the best beaches. Good luck deciding! I know for us that was the hardest part.
  10. Oh goodness! I'm so sorry you're going through this. Sending you prayers & hoping it comes back benign!
  11. Hi girls, I'm actually not using orange & fuchsia, though I think it's a gorgeous combo! But, I found these while on the search for shoes & thought I'd post here in case someone's still looking & likes the combo on a shoe. Nine West Jym Orange High Heel Sandals
  12. I love the idea! Are the groomsmen wearing ties too? Maybe have them wear fuchsia and he could wear a striped tie? or vice-versa something like this?
  13. I know! It's like found money!! What better way to spend it than on shoes?! The rings are gorgeous!!! His ring is really cool! (I like less bling on a guy anyway) And I love your engraving idea, too funny.
  14. Quote: Originally Posted by kuteliya This is the David's Bridal copy of that dress. ]. That's my dress! It comes in white, ivory or ivory over champagne. I also wanted something a little Spanish-inspired so I went with lace. Here is another at DB with a back that's similar to the original JH dress David's Bridal - Lace cap-sleeve trumpet gown with keyhole back and heavily beaded sash
  15. We're also doing OOT bags - 1 per room. I bought 21 a while ago cuz they were on sale & I figured we probably wouldn't have more rooms than that, but I have no idea who's actually coming yet so I'll have to figure that out later. So far we have pashminas for the girls, emergen-c, shout wipes, lip balm, sunscreen, little first aid kits, water guns (hee hee, I couldn't resist) and will be getting sudoku books, advil/tylenol, pepto or imodium, & maybe some cards. I think for the guys we might get a mini tequila or shot glass once we're down there. And we'll get some little pool toys & activity books for the kids that are going. I like the idea of getting things locally when you're there to add to the bags, then you don't have to worry about bringing it all. And hitting up Costco is a really good idea! I'm not so worried about getting stuff there intact cuz none of it's really breakable, but I am a little worried about lugging it all there! I've heard from multiple people that we should hold onto our receipts & bring those in case we get stopped at customs. Also might be a good idea to split things up between you & FI and any friends/family coming from your area.
  16. Great stuff!! Where did you find your luggage tags at?
  17. I think black will look fine! I like the ideas of the black linen shirt w/ tan pants or a black linen suit. I also like a black suit & fun shoes like Chuck Taylors here's a pic of a groom in all black & groomsmen in black/tan and here's a pic of a groom w/ a black suit on the beach
  18. Um, I LOVE sock monkeys!! I must have that cake topper!! All of the details looked beautiful!
  19. I like the 1st one you posted & I love the one from Neiman Marcus! I think you could also find another black/white or gray/white damask duvet & just use orange accents. Here are some I found Crate and Barrel - Sakura Bed Linens shopping in Crate and Barrel Bed and Bath maybe too masculine & is that a boat on the accent pillow?? Bed Bath & Beyond - Broderick Comforter by Nautica, 100% Cotton Duncan Stripe Duvet Cover & Sham | Pottery Barn http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=11038&f=4492 you could add your own accents to this ZEUS Black White Toile Scroll Comforter Set QUEEN The Well Dressed Bed Esperanto 9 Piece Duvet Cover Set - Esperanto Duvet Cover Set there's several on this site & you can search by color Bedding Sets Good luck on the hunt!!
  20. Wow, Jess! That's so exciting!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you're back - I'm sure it'll be wonderful! Are you & your BMs still going into town for manis/pedis? Autumn, starting packing seems like a really good idea. There's so much stuff to bring!! How many bags are you guys all ending up with?
  21. I say skip the necklace & wear the bracelet & find earrings that'll match. They're beautiful pieces but I don't think you need them both with the dress. Great find, btw!
