We always do state parks. They are inexpensive and it really makes for a mellow and relaxing weekend. There are a lot who have beaches on small lakes for swimming and fishing and whatnot. Its always nice to just get away. We just booked a weekend in June to go

Ok Ladies- she got back to me really quickly. Here is the deal. Cost: $400 Includes: 5x7 10- page leather bound "little black book" with your favorites in it, a makeup artist to help get you ready, All edited photos hosted in a private password protected gallery, and about an hour to an hour and a half of shooting with 2-3 outfits You can upgrade to a 20 page book for $50 or to an 8x8 album for $100 She does really nice custom albums also if you are looking for that. Its so good to hear that everything is working out. Communication is key in your situation. Nice to see your mom is pretty much backing you up on the stuff you have concerns on. Keep us updated on your progress!

jstar- there are two threads going on in here at the same time. There is a blue one and a white one and basically it is a starfish charm that gets passed from bride to bride to represent our friendship within BDW. We use it for our wedding then send it along to the next bride. It can be your something borrowed for the wedding. I think its pretty cool and even thought i'm no longer having a DW i'm still going to use it. :-) feel free to join the list if your wedding date is not taken already.

Kt- ok let me know. I'd much rather have the white starfish so that it matches my wedding You changed your wedding to home I assume? I did too but I still want to use it Its so nice to have a piece of BDW with us still. Everyone on here has been so great and I still use the ideas.

... Just another opinion on Elegant Perspectives... Natalia is GREAT!!!!! a million times over. I am from the US. I ordered table runners from her. I got them within a week and they were great quality. Very elegant looking. I loved them. Then I picked out the designer of my bridesmaid dresses, ordered them and got a swatch of fabric and they didnt match as well as I wanted. I did the contact form on their website and asked how returns/exchanges work and explained to her that my dresses had more of a green tint to them and asked if she thought she had anything to match. Within an hour I had a response. She went all out and is mailing me a swatch of all of her "blue" fabric so that I can look and see exactly what matches best (if any). She also said that any return or exchange is not a problem at all. Whatever works best for me. I want to buy something from them! Their customer service was so great that I dont even want to return them! I highly reccomend anyone to work with them. You will have a good experience.

I also think that if you dig a hole for the candle it will look better.

I just wanted to comment on my experience with Elegant Perspectives. I ordered 11 satin table runners. They are perfect! I received them within a week and they ship from Canada. They were less then $3 each- cheaper then it would cost me to make them myself like I had planned on doing. Unfortunately, the blue I chose was not the right tone (although it was a VERY nice color!) I am switching them for a different color. Hopefully they come in as great as the origional ones did. I would totally reccomend elegant perspectives so far.

This is a great idea... I dont have kids but I'm sure it will be a great outlet for you guys who do... and for those of us who will eventually. :-) I'm sure we can learn from your stories...
