MissyR that is a great idea, I think I will steal that one!

My grandfather passed away about 7 years ago but he is still a huge part of my life. I am going to be carrying his handkerchief in my dress (or somewhere). I am also trying to find a way to acknowledge those who have passed on in our lives without making it a sad thing, but more a happy remembrance.

Do you still need more? I have a Joann's near my work as well let me know.

Every year we do exchanges with local businesses, we give them gift certificates to our restaurant for $25 and they give us items from their businesses for the same price. It promotes local business and it is fun for our employees because everyone gets something different. We also give them shirts and cash bonuses.

Angela- I am doing the same thing except for breakfast I am not doing the shakes but just one egg and a piece of toast. I actually am not wanting to lose a lot of weight but it is just melting off. I am going to the gym doing about a 30 minute workout just to clear my head of everything that is going on. In fact I just finished my last invitation and I am in serious need of letting go of some steam (my mom is helping and it has been a challenge ) ) Anyway to anyone out there that just wants to be healthy it really isn't that hard to choose the salad over the hamburger, all you have to do is put your mind to it.

I am also having two matrons of honor (my sisters and they are twins so it would be really hard to pick one of them.) I don't think it is a problem especially in Mexico because we need 4 witnesses so it works out just great.

My FI and I paid for our wedding party attire, although it got a little spendy I felt it was the right thing to do given the price of airline tickets. On the other hand, I know the bride and groom do not have to pay for it. At the end of the day, your bridemaids and groomsmen are probably not expecting that you pay for their clothing.

Well they have decided to work with us and they have lowered our room rates so it is $3 cheaper to book through our room block, and they are going to honor this price for all of our guests that have already booked their rooms. I am very relieved because that would have been very expensive.

Mel- I am not living in sin half of the time I still have my house but I really have not seen it for a couple months. Anyway I was doing the exact same thing, eating like crap. I found if I went to the store and did the shopping then he really did not notice that there were no more peanut m&m's or ice cream in the house. I switched to popsicles (the dole fruit juice bars, strawberry are my favorite) and jello and the funny part is that when I make jello (the easiest thing in the world to make) he thinks that I took the time out of my day to really make him dessert. You could try it maybe it works for more than one guy!

I personally did not give any of my bridesmaids the choice. I went to Ann taylor during the clearance sale and bought every size (since they range from 4 to 16) they had of a rasberry colored knee length dress and sent them to all of my bridesmaids. I told them they could alter them however they wanted (one will be 7 months prego so I bought two dresses for her) I say you make the decision remember you are the bride.

I never had heard of the sand ceremony but I am also going to be using it. Thanks for your help!

I am going to be getting married at the CasaMagna in Feb. and I am so excited. Everything has been great so far but I ran into a problem this week with my room block. My guests have found a better offer that includes breakfast on-line and are reserving their rooms without using my group code. I emailed my WC and she said there is nothing they can do about it and the rooms that my guest reserve online do not count toward our room block. I am furious, how can I tell my guests I would prefer that they would pay $32 a night more so we don't get stuck paying for rooms that were not used under our block. My WC said she would talk to her supervisors and see if they will change their minds but she doubts it. I can't believe it. So I guess it is something to look at before you sign any contracts and make sure you put a clause in it to not experience this situation. I will keep you posted with this situation.

Cassey- I am always on the road for work and everyone once in a while I have no choice but to eat at McDonalds. I have found if I get a grilled chicken sandwich without mayo and adding mustard it is only 4.5 gr of fat and 370 cal. Then if you add a package of apple slices and a bottle of water you have a meal that you can feel alright eating at the golden arches.

I have mixed emotions about a destination wedding. But really what it boils down to is my FI and I are going to get married in one of the most beautiful places in the world with those who can afford to come as our witnesses. It really is not about them it is about us and the start of our lives together. I also think it would be far more expensive to have a wedding in my home town with 300+ people in attendance. Could I be really selfish, probably but this is what we want and I think a special day like the day we get married should be exactly how we want it to be.
