I am a little nervous and somewhat concerned about having to do the blood test down in Mexico the days before my wedding... has anyone already done this? As I hate needles and anything to do with them... some advice would really help me out!!! Thanks!

Yeah I am thinking I have to do mine if I do it on the day before the ceremony because of the flights most of my guests would be leaving the day after... which sucks.. my wedding is nov next year so they aren't 100% sure on when our flights would be leaving from Calgary yet as its to far in advance... I am hoping to land there on Nov 2 so my guests have a day after our wedding to rest and relax... so my thought would be to do mine on the day before just because of this reason... but I would like to do it after, if circumstances change maybe. I too am getting a second cheaper dress as to not ruin my nice one potentially!

We've been dating for 7 years and 8 months as of today.. But I have known my FI since grade 7. We are high school sweethearts! Started dating in grade 12! My FI proposed to me in July of this year and our wedding date is Nov 7 09 so by then it will be 8 years and 8 months!!!

Yeah I tried that one too.. I only had one kid that would have ended up coming but in the beginning the parents told me they weren't bringing him... but when I told them I booked this resort and it was an adults only then they decided they wanted to bring him.. so I asked my WC and she told me no, they couldn't change their policies or anything ... so yeah unfortunatley they won't be allowed! It sucks in a way.. but for me it wasn't that big of a deal cause there was only the possibility of the one coming anyways!

I am actually kind of glad that the Azul Sensatori didn't have my wedding date available now by the sounds of things! I think for me it was a sign! I love the Karisma weddings however and that is why I am now at the Eldorado Seaside Suites! I'm sure everything will be figured out before the next set of weddings are set in motion! Keep thinking happy thoughts! I'm sure all your weddings there will be absolutley stunning!!!

I am planning on having a sand ceremony too, but am wondering where you found your beautiful wording? Also where did you find your vases or containers to do the ceremony? I have seen some great online stores where I can order my colors of sand, but have yet to come across any nice vases that I want to use for the ceremony.. would you be able to tell me where you found all the information you need for the ceremony Thanks a bunch!! I haven't been quoted anything for flowers or anything like that, but if we do the private beach dinner thing I won't even worry all that much about centerpieces unless like you we bring them from home premade. As for our photographer we haven't quite decided yet, but I am looking more and more at Mexican Wedding Photos, its one of the approved ones, she has some pretty cool shots that I think she would do a pretty good job at our wedding. Thing is her pricing is in US and I am trying to get one of her packages for the same price as shes got quoted in US, I will see how that goes. That sucks that you are leaving the day after your wedding so you can't do the TTD... I may even do mine if I do it the day before in the second dress... haven't decided on that. What are your colors and do you have official bridesmaids and all the good stuff? Ours is sort of laid back I have asked my sister to be a witness, but I am not picking out their dresses just the color and material so they all at least look the same in pictures. My fiance's two sisters are probably going to be in the other color I have chosen. I can't wait to start all the planning! Mine is still a ways away but I am super excited!

So do you have your wedding dress already?? Also are you doing a TTD session, and are you using one of the approved photographers? I was thinking I wanted to do a TTD session, but thought I would like to wear a cheaper wedding dress for that instead of using my nice one... what is your take on this?

Thats so awesome of you to post any pics you may take of the resort! The more the merrier! I was wondering if maybe you could check out the beach and let me know if they have those huge sandbags in order to rebuild the beach.. I've heard something through the grapevine that there may be those there... if you could check that out for me that would be great! Edssbride09.. which wedding coordinator are you using? I am using Valeria and she seems very good so far! Are you having a reception and dance anywhere? I haven't really got into all the details of it yet, but thought I would check and see where you planned on having all of yours...

I'm thinking at the most we will have maybe 20 people.. which most of them would be our close families... which is totally cool with me.. We are doing the beach wedding with teh four wooden posts and colored fabric.. I love that look! I also wanted to have a dinner reception thing right on the beach.. so I have to find out more about that.. have you already decided on those areas or? Are you planning on bringing centerpieces or just whatever the resort will put on there? Also what about favors? Are you putting them on your dinner tables? Do you know where I could find sandalwood fans that are personalizable? I found a couple of websites that do this but none that ship to Canada!

I know it seems like everyone has chosen the Royale.. but I too loved the beach and smaller feel of this resort! So are you planning on have the beach/ beach gazebo wedding? Have you also chosen a spot for a reception or dinner and dancing? I haven't really started any of my planning yet, I just got my date confirmed yesterday so!

I thought I would just start this thread and see if anyone else has either had a wedding there or will be having your wedding there next year, as this is the resort I am confirmed at! I tried at the Azul Sensatori but my wedding date wasn't available.. thought it must have been a sign! But I fell in love with Karisma's weddings and wanted to stay with one of their resorts! Luckily this resort was available! So I am booked.. come chat here if you are a bride going there or have any tips and ideas we can share!

Yeah I know that, but we only potentially had 2 kids maybe coming anyways.. so I figured I would check it out and see what the quote came in at and let the couple know that sorry they couldn't bring their kids. They were humming and hawwing anyways so this just may have made their decision for them!!

I applied for the wedding application online and got an email back from Luis saying I regret to inform you that the date is not available.. so I hadn't paid my 200 deposit for the confirmation of the date, and that was all within 3 days of me applying online that he got back to me. Azul Beach is also booked that day, so now I am looking at El Dorado Seaside resort cause I love the wedding packages and decor so hopefully it will all work out. If you haven't heard back and haven't paid your deposit it might be a good idea to check into it!!

So apparentley my requested wedding date is no longer available at this resort.. I thought they allowed 3 weddings a day? Is this correct?? So I will not be having my wedding at this resort.. but hopefully trying at the Azul Beach.. does anyone know if there is a forum on here for that resort?? Any information you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks ladies!
