  1. Oh thats different, my destination wedding TA has already got us our rates for our hotel and which days they fly out... she doesn't have the exact times that these flights are but she does have our rates and dates. My TA is based out of Vancouver and I am in Calgary... but shes got the rates through Signature flying out of Calgary... you would think they would have them for you!
  2. Oh thats cool!! I was hearing all these horror stories from other brides who had to have BC and stuff the long versions and notorized or something and I have the requirements sent to me by Valeria and it didn't mention anything like that, so I just wanted to confirm it... You must be getting excited!!!!! When do you leave prairiegirl?

  4. I've had that same message for a couple of days now!! Its really irritating! But yes if I shut down the forum and re-open it a few minutes later or whatever I can log back in but it takes forever and refreshing does nothing either!!!
  5. My thought was that it was always over the heart so therefore on the left...
  6. beachbride09... do you have the date and time confirmed of your wedding? I thought for a wedding to be legal they aren't performed on Mexican holidays? And I think your date is a mexican holiday?? Have you checked into that? Don't mean to freak you out,.. I just wanted to make sure you already have confirmation that it will be legal....
  7. I have a question to all you brides who have already done the sand ceremony... how much sand of each color did you need? I have received my order of my colored sand and they are 1pound bags each... is that going to be enough? Plus we will be adding the sand from the beach to the bottom of the vase?? Can anyone help me out with this Thanks!!!
  8. I to am a Nov 09 bride!!! So very exciting isn't it This weekend I just put the deposit down on my dress!!! I am so in love with it!!! I have my resort all picked and wedding date confirmed, BM's all picked.. sent out my save the dates long ago... waiting for my ordered invites to finally arrive then I will be sending them out as soon as I get them. No idea how many people I would have at least 20 I think... My colors are a hot tropical red and yellow! I too want to have everything on the beach.. ceremony and reception as well.. I've got a great WC who has already alliveiated some of my stress!!!
  9. OMG!!! My dress fit perfectly!!! So I can tell ya I didn't hesitate to put that deposit on it today!!! YAY! It's mine!!! But sorry I was in and out of there so fast that I didn't take any pics of me in it yet... but I will soon and post them so you can see what I was talking about!!!! I AM SO PUMPED!!!
  10. I found this great website that actually sells glass stoppers for their sand containers or gel candle making stuff... here check out the website.. I will be buying the maple colored lid... such a cool idea!!! Sand Ceremony, Wedding Sand Ceremony, Sand Ceremony Set, Sand Ceremony Sets I hope this helps!!! I was wondering the same thing until I came across this website!!
  11. One thing I forgot to ask you ladies who are so close to your dates is about the legal requirements... what all did or do you have to bring with you for EDSS? I want to make sure that by the time we go to leave that we have all the legal documents we need in place and not forget anything that will stop us from getting married!!!! Cause quite frankly... THAT WOULD SUCK! lol! So if you could let me know what all you have to bring with you that would be great!!! Thanks!

The bride had originally booked her wedding on the beach but after the first night we realized that it was way to windy. She changed the wedding reception to the swing bar restaurant - which was really nice. As a guest I am pleased that the couple decided to have the dinner inside as it gets pretty cold at night. Most of the girls had to wear a little cardigan at night. The beach ceremony was beautiful but the microphones kept cutting out so you heard the judge's every fourth word. If you or your bridemaids are thinking about walking down the aisle with heels - forget it. We all bought shoes to compliment our dresses but disposed of them last minute. Aside from those 2 items the wedding was flawless. The food was first class and the staff is very accomodating. Good luck and let me know if you have any specific questions about the EDSS. Hey! I do have a question for you... did your friends wedding have a dance and speeches and all that? I am trying to determine if we should pay the price for the dance floor unless there is an actual place where we could dance without having to rent a dance floor? We want to do the private reception on the beach, and possibly do speeches and dance but not to sure if there is somewhere else we can do this instead of having to pay for the dance floor.. if you could let me know that would be great!!!
  13. Oh I forgot to mention that with the deposit comes a deadline and we have set it for March 7th, so they just need to have the 300 dollars down by that date and they are good to go. Since my wedding isn't until Nov 7th, this gives them months to save more and do it in payments...
  14. I am using a DW TA and so far things are great! She is taking care of everything to do with payments and making sure all the guests have their money in to her before the 60 day deadline. For my invites I am sending them out in like a week or so and my TA has done up an itinerary for us that I will be including in the invites I send out. The thing with how my TA set it up is all my guests just have to put down a deposit to hold their spot of 300 per person and can pay the rest of the amount in payments up until 60 days prior to our departure... she is taking care of everything and I have no stress or feel guilty having to ask my guests for payments.. she is taking care of it all... so highly recommend a DW TA!!!

I wish it were on the website to show many people who have asked me about it... all I have is the photo I have taken of it in a bridal magazine... but after Saturday I should have photos of me in the dress!!!
  16. Yes its very good news! I am actually going there on Sat this weekend to try it on again and probably put the deposit down on it so yeah I can take some photos of it and post on here for ya!! I love it.. I am sure you guys will too!!! I am so pumped now!!!
  17. Thanks for your help!! But I've just received word from the Bridal salon that they are willing to honor the original price of the gown if I can buy it off the rack!! And when I went in before to try it on it was almost perfect!!! So looks like my dilemma may be solved after all and I get the dress of my dreams!!! So wicked!!! Totally made my day!!! YIPPIE!

  19. Yeah I have done some new searching for dresses that are similar in style and such and have come across a few that are somewhat similar but different and pretty in their own ways... so I will see if I can find those ones in store and try them on... I may end up finding one I like more than the first one... if not I may have to convince my FI to let me buy the expensive one if it comes to that!!! LOL
  20. Prairiegirl, you have to remember too that her photos were taken in Nov.. that is 2 months ago now... I'm sure it is either really close to being finished or if not already finished.. 2 months when the weather is always hot is good working conditions... thing is my WC said it wouldn't be ready till Feb anyways... so I'm thinking it may be nearing its completion or completed by the time your wedding comes around... if its not ready just go in with the attitude that you are still on a beach in Mexico getting married!!! What could be better than that
  21. Question to all you brides out there who have done your sand ceremonies at your weddings already.... how much of each color did you use for the ceremony? I have recieved my order of my two colors and they are 1LB bags... would this be enough, plus the sand of the beach when we are down there?? My container is probably going to be a 8" high square vase... any ideas Thanks!!

I just ordred mine actually! And they are fairly priced, depending on how many you need! I also got my save the dates from them as well... very nice and lots of choice! good luck!!

Just want to make sure you have expectations that are correct - it won't be like a cake you would get here..... I am not really all that concerned with the end result of the cake... I'm pretty laid back with all the details.. as long as it looks pretty and tastes ok then I am happy! lol!
  24. Yeah I actually found their information on the internet and have contacted them about it... I wanted to find out if they had it for cheaper.. I also contacted Pattis on their website and informed me that they were charging correctly! Which really sucks! I guess my hunt is still on... so bummed cause I really wanted that dress.... ERG!!
  25. I just found out the dress that I absolutely loved has gone up in price from 1582 to 2362!!!! Thats insane!!! I LOVE the dress, but cannot see myself paying the new price for it!! Its by designer Pattis.. and there is only one store in my area here that carries this line and only 2 in all of Canada.. the next being Nova Scotia! I will try and upload an image of the dress... I am wondering if any of you know of an online site that carries Pattis other then the actual website so I can get it for less... any info you may have please pass it along to me!! Thanks.. Here goes the trying to upload the pic... sorry if it doesn't work http://www.jasminebridal.com/J_2_1_1...eason=B&forb=b dress.doc
