Love the thread title - you will get lots of ideas here!
  2. I was initially thinking you should leave chips on bar so you don't have to deal with distributing them, but after reading comments, I agree that you should hand them out in some fun way so everyone gets their 2 drinks if they want it. If people don't use them, I'm sure they'll give them to someone else.
  3. Congratulations and have fun planning - everything you heard about the forum is true : )
  4. The search options will help you find what you need. I always browsed the sub-forums too in case I missed anything - good luck planning!
  5. Congrats - good luck with your planning!

    hi!

You are a great MOH already! Good luck planning - Chicago is a beautiful place to get married.
  7. It totally stinks - especially since you work with her, she should be the person you're having fun conversations with every day! But I had a longtime friend who although she remains a good friend, just wasn't very good bridesmaids and I tried to separate the two. Once I started thinking of her as a guest who was wearing the same dress as others, I felt better and just ignored that she wasn't doing what she was supposed to do (or at least tried to ignore it - I still complained of course to my other bridesmaids!!). I found it freeing to no longer expect much from her other than attending the wedding. I hope the same approach works for you. Good luck!!

    Hello!

Congrats - you'll find everything you need in the forum to plan a perfect Cabo wedding!
  12. I don't think I would fire her, especially since you work with her. I'd just pretend she's a regular guest who happens to be wearing a bridesmaid dress so you don't get upset anymore and be glad that you have other bridesmaids that care.
  13. Those are awesome pictures - everything looks so fabulous!! Congratulations!!
  14. We followed the Mexico law to get legally married in Mexico and just recorded a copy of our legal marriage certificate with the county we live in, but we didn't have to do anything else in U.S. - my understanding is that US recognizes legal marriage in other countries as long as you follow legal procedures for that ocuntry, butyou might want to check with your county to be sure there aren't other local requirements - it's very confusing!

Good luck with your planning, you will find the forum to be amazing!
  16. There is a ton of Dreams info on the Cabo forum - I think it's the most popular location for brides on the forum. Congrats and happy planning!
  17. So glad you got your money back - good for you!

    Hi :)

Congratulations - welcome to being officially on the forum!
  19. Good luck. My cat needed several teeth pulled as well and the cost was definitely over $1000, but it was worth it. My vet would also do payment plans if needed so definitely check with your vet. I don't think your vet is ripping you off - whenever they go under for surgery, it's expensive and becomes more complciated the more teeth they have to pull. I hope both your cats recover well and feel better soon.
  20. You will find all the welcome bag info you need on this forum - good luck and congrats.

    Hi!

I just recently got married in Cabo and it was amazing. You will love researching your wedding on this forum - lots of helpful info on Cabo locations and vendors.
  22. That's so sad. I have a cat and cannot imagine giving her away to anyone in the same situation, but it sounds like you've tried very hard. Can they live in separate parts of the house somehow (I know not ideal, but just trying to brainstorm). At least a family member has offered to take one in, but I hope you find another solution that keeps your cats with both of you.
  23. Nice work Ana! Happy birthday Heather!

I think chips, guacamole and salsa would be fine for the cocktail hour too. You could add one or two passed apps if that didn't blow your budget, but I think you're fine either way. I initially wanted a soup course as well but I opted for heavy apps instead since having both blew my budget. Have a ball - can't wait to hear about the site visit when you get back!
  25. Great review - I got married at the Hilton a week befor eyou, we probably passed each other in the airport : ). I am beyond impressed you planned everything without the forum, you did a great job - other than the photographer, I used most of the same vendors. I do want to echo the comments made about the legal ceremony - something I neglected in my own review. It was very easy and the Hilton made it a seamless task. Congrats and welcome to the forum!!
