(I hope it's okay that I post in this thread....) Lately, I have major baby on the brain!!! For example, last week i had three dreams that I was pregnant and actually going through labor. I want one for sure (I am excited to experience that love you have for your child), but sometimes the thought freaks me out!! I guess my question is, Are you ever TRULY ready for a baby?? Plus, in this economy it makes me even more scared!! My DH is 10 years older than me, and has said that he would like to have kids sooner rather than later, so i said in a year I would be willing to try for one....I just want to know if there is that "AHA" moment, where you just know 100% you're ready to be a mom. We make pretty good money combined, but I just fear we will be broke. I am completely rambling, but any advice would be much appreciated!!!! Congratulations to all the mommies/mommies-to-be on here!!! I was ready as soon as I saw that plus sign on my pee stick! Haha.. I don't think anyone is ever truely ready to have a child, but man once they are here you can never imagine your life without them. We aren't the wealthiest people, but our daughter always comes first. She always has everything she needs to be healthy, happy and safe. I never thought I wanted kids until I met my FI and knew he would be a great dad and in turn make me a great mom! Our daughter is 5 months and we are already talking about another one!! Good Luck
  3. Great!! I was just at Staples.. didn't even think to look for those kind of things there Thank you!
  4. Well this is what I have so far for my OOT Bags. My FI made a good point about the hand wipes.. there is only one! So, I'm putting those into the First Aid kits so they don't go to waste and getting the little bottles of sanitizer instead. The day planners were 2 for $1.00 at the dollar store - The surfer dude's are for the guys and the flamingos are for the girls. Everything actually came from the dollar store!! Love it Just waiting on our bags from cheaptotes.com. We bought the neutral ones and are going to transfer our monogram on them ourselves! Pictures_005.jpg (3.2 MB)
  5. I just finished level 1 workout.. holy crap! I feel like I just got my butt kicked!! I feel great though.. I'll let you know how I feel tomorrow!! I'm using 3lb weights.. what is everyone else using?

I can't believe you already have so many rooms booked! I don't think ANY of our guests have booked yet. I so thought an afternoon wedding would be nice...and I always wanted to have one. But now that I'm trying to figure out reception stuff, I'm really having a hard time. Granted, most of this difficulty comes from the fact that I want to have an evening party reception...but I want to do it with my dress on! Do you think people would think it was weird if I had the wedding at 1pm, then still had my dress on in the evening I want to get as much wear out of it as I can!! I don't think ppl will think it's weird at all!! It's your wedding day and you should have your dress on! I'm not taking mine off until I have to heh I'm assuming you will be done your ceremony by 1:30-1:45pm and then take pictures? That will be another 1 hr - 1 1/2 hrs and so it will be after 3 pm? If you are doing a sit down dinner it will take at least 1 1/2 - 2 hrs to get settled and eat and digest and by that time the sun should be setting and then you can dance into the night with your dress on

A lot of Canadians hate Air Canada though...they always seem to have delays. Are you flying direct to Italy or do you have a layover at Heathrow? Yes! Air Canada is HORRIBLE!! Their customer service is aweful!! Their planes aren't that nice.. if you get one with a TV then they are ok I guess. They are almost always delayed and they aren't very accomodating if you get stuck somewhere. I avoid them at all costs! Just my experience though.
  8. Hey ladies!! Just wanted to let you know that American Bridal has a great sale on right now. There are some really cute things (wedding favors and wedding party gifts.. etc!) that are marked down plus you get an additional 50% off!! Cheers!
  9. We got our rings and the same place FI bought my e-ring. I don't know if it was a better deal, but we both agreed that we wanted Canadian diamonds. FI's ring was $489 and my band was $249... I'm really not sure what wedding/e-rings cost because we only looked at the one place. I think the rings were the one thing we agreed that we didn't want to cut back on. It's something that we will have forever and remind us of our love. If you aren't sure about the quality then I would steer clear. Unless you know someone else who has bought from that place, maybe they could help you or if you know someone who knows about jewellery.
  10. Thanks for the heads up Megan!! I was going to buy some things from there, but I will keep looking around to see if I can't find something in the store.

I'm just trying to cut out things like cheese and bacon and eating carbs after 5pm. I'm also trying to eat dinner before 7:30 and nothing else till the next morning after my workout. It seems to be working. It really helps that FI is trying to eat better too, so we can keep each other accountable. It was so hard when I was working out, and trying to eat healthier before he started, and we would go out to eat. He would order all the yummy stuff that I wished I could've eaten. But now we're on the same track and it's great!!! Lucky you!! FI does not eat healthy at all, but I think he has a hollow leg!! He looks like he is in great shape.. I guess due to his job. Anyways, he eats what he wants when he wants and doesn't gain a pound. He doesn't think I need to lose weight, but I just had a baby 5 months ago!! Haha Love is Blind I guess. SO, I'm on my own with this diet thing.

  16. I went to Future Shop yesterday and bought the DVD for $9.99!! I'm going to start tomorrow What's everyone doing for diet/nutrition? I hate diets.. I feel like I'm restricted! I'm just going to try and eat healthier.. make healthier choices. Cut out the junk food. No meal plan though.

We ended up just using aqua paper gift bags that I bought at Michael's for 37 cents each and stuck a logo sticker on the front. They were really easy to pack and then people wouldn't feel badly about throwing them out. I bought immodium caplets and pepto tablets. The way they are packaged made it easy to separate them out but still have them be in their original packaging, if that makes sense. So, the pills weren't loose. I just wrote out the directions on a clear label and stuck them to business cards I had leftover from a Vista print order from other wedding stuff. That way everyone had the directions too. Ha, I know! I should've known better. lol Kelly, Thanks! That makes perfect sense!! I will definately use that idea. Now to find tylenol or something of the sort. Thank you so much
  18. Great Ideas!! For your recovery kits was everything individually wrapped? Where did you find them if they were?
  19. Camie, I'm wondering that too!! Our WC, Maribe, said it's all reserved for us.. I thought we had to pay for 50% now and the rest when we get there? Also, Maribel says we are reserved for the Tucan Terrrace.. has anyone had their reception/cocktail party there? What's it like?

This thread has the pics of the mugs: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13580 And this one tells how she did it & what materials she used: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13574 Morgan did these as well. Take a look at her planning thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t21764 You are a sweetie!! Thank you for doing that Everyone's OOT Bag's look great and I picked up a few more ideas from those threads!! Now, I hope I have enough room in my suitcases Haha!! Quick question: Did anyone buy bottles of Advil, Motrin, Pepto Pills and put them in personalized pill boxes or anything? Do you think people will use them if they are opened like that?
  21. I would definately ask my WP to help or my Mom, she is great at getting people's butts in gear!! Actually, funny thing, I was just talking to one of my friends/guests online and she just said she thought her WORD was good enough!! I told her that I put a stamp on it for a reason and I need a paper count so I know she is coming for sure. Ha! I kind of went off on her, but tried not to be a B&%$H about it. Oh well, how hard is it to put your name and number of ppl on a card and throw it in a mailbox people?!
  22. I found a bunch of travel mugs at the dollar store and was thinking of just getting waterproof paper and printing our monogram and sticking them on there? Anyone else done this? Good/bad idea??
  23. I haven't looked into dying them yet, but I definately will. I still have to order them, but great idea with the jewels as well!! When I get them in I will have a better idea Thanks for all the suggestions!!
  24. I just ordered my totes from cheaptotes!! I'm going to do the iron on transfer with our monogram I can't wait to post pictures of them!!
  25. Yeah, that would be annoying!! I am worried about that also, but I put a "Respond by" date.. I'm assuming everyone else did that as well??
